If I come out of this lockdown mentally healthy, I owe it to this little dog. She’s always been supportive but probably the most understanding dog I’ve ever had. She always wakes me up at 7:00 in the morning, but I treated myself with a 16 hour sleep yesterday, after every cell in my body felt exhausted, I dropped dead right in the office and just couldn’t wake up, and she was right next to me the whole time, without food or water but with kinds of distraction outside the glass walls of this office but did not disturbed my sleep once. She just let me rest.

Yamakase is an exclusive invite-only omakase Japanese fusion cuisine located on Santa Monica Blvd in Sawtelle. The 17-course omakase starts at $280 per person. Although it is invite-only, reservation requests are accepted through his website. It seats around 17 people with one seating per night at 7 pm. If you are looking for an interesting and unique dining experience, Yamakase is a place to go. It is noted for top quality ingredients (black truffle。Tuber Aestivum from Italy , caviar, and uni) with chef Yama-san's rigorous culinary skills. There are a few highlights for tonight. Frozen Toro sandwich, Yama-san’s signature dish, it is composed of frozen toro, Hokkaido uni, and blue crab on toasted brioche topped with aromatic black truffle. It bought me to heaven! Next, the king crab legs that are steamed to perfection. It is simply juicy, tender, umami and mildly sweet. Is anyone a ramen lover here? You will love Chef Yama-san’s 🦆ramen. The 🐥 , 🦆 , 🦀, clams, and bonito all together creates a broth that is rich, flavorful, and full of depth . The black pepper taste lifts the umami flavors. I wanted to ask for a second bowl!
