    總在翻譯時，才會認真思考每個字詞的意思。

    看到「長途跋涉」四個字，

    我直覺就譯成 go on / make a long journey，

    覺得就是路途遙遠的意思。

    但仔細翻找字典就會知道（很多人不用找也知道 🤣），

    「長途跋涉」是形容路程長遠且艱辛，

    如果只譯成 go on / make a long journey，

    就少了艱辛的感覺，

    所以決定加工譯成 go on / make a long arduous journey，

    以表達：道路阻（arduous ）且長（long ）。

    後來發現，原來不用講那麼多 🎉🎉🎉

    其實只要用 trek 一個字就能囊括「長途跋涉」的意思。

    例句：我長途跋涉來見你。

    動詞譯法：I trekked all the way here to meet you.

    名詞譯法：I made / did a trek here to meet you.

    ★ 你還只會用「國中英文單字」說英文、寫英文作文嗎？★

    常常有英文程度已經很不錯的人跟我說覺得英文寫作很難。通常診斷這樣的人（如同在面試英文老師般)，我會跟他說「你計時寫一篇英文作文讓我改看看。這樣的人，通常文法會錯很多口說因講話速度快偵查不出的小錯誤、用詞因為缺乏海量collocations （搭配詞）的學習導致很多「中文邏輯/思維湊出的合文法用法」、一句一句間的邏輯關係不夠緊密外，最常見的狀況，也是台灣學生普遍有的現象 (a pervasive/ubiquitous phenomenon) 就是只會用國中英文單字寫作，偶爾跑出一個最近從外語雜誌/新聞背的單字，但 因為缺乏在「有充分語境下的搭配字/用法」學習，而用得生硬無比。下面50個TOEFL/GRE字的用法，全部以這些字常出現的語境而呈現，希望大家能將他們抄下來記下來，這樣的學習，長年累積一定程度會大有增進。
