For many years, the stigma on Islamic Nations have always been "Archaic" "Oppressive" and "Backward". But the world has changed, Islamic Nations need to change and youth is the most important engine to effect such change.
I had the privilege to work together with some of the most brilliant youth leaders of Islamic Nations. Their enthusiasm and spirit to improve the state of Islamic Nations is definitely inspiring. They brought forth the high level resolutions from the Youth KL Summit and all the resolutions beautifully reflect the creative and proactive mindset of youths.
One of the more radical and groundbreaking suggestions is to establish Ministry of Future Advancement & Human Governance that provide foresights and megatrends of all minitries. This ministry has to be led by an apolitical youth - a symbol of the way forward. Where it is no longer about which party you're from but what you represent! They discussed about focusing on TVET & creating a network of entrepreneurs to ensure that the Ummah can also give birth to our very own tech Unicorns & Decacorns.
These resolutions among others will not materialize without the strong, capable people who made this summit possible. They were given this mammoth task to gather over 200 youth leaders from 22 countries in less than 10 days ago. An impossible task if not for sheer determination and the drive to ensure youth voice is heard to revive the glory of Islamic civilization.
Kudos to Adam Mukhriz, Amira Aisya and Ulya Aqamah and the whole team for bringing the youth voice together. In the same way as Tun, I pledge that I will ensure that the resolutions discussed will not be put to waste.
Together, we can revive the glory of Islamic civilization which is about development & COMPASSION, and return back the power of the future back into the hands of the people.
