🍡 Take a bite of any of these dishes and you’ll discover a unique texture. But how exactly do you describe that perfectly calibrated “mouth feel” so sought after by local cooks and eaters alike?
Slippery? Chewy? Globby? Not exactly the most flattering adjectives in the culinary world.
Luckily, the Taiwanese have a word for this texture. Well, actually, it’s not a word, it’s a letter — one that even non-Chinese speakers can pronounce.
It’s “Q.”

隨便嘗一口這些小吃，你都會發現它們別具風味。但你該如何形容那種經過精心調配，令當地廚師和食客們趨之若鶩的「口感」呢？
滑溜？有嚼勁？黏稠？這些可算不上是美食界最好聽的形容。
幸運的是，台灣人有一個詞來形容這種口感。其實，這稱不上是個詞語，而是一個字母——就連不講中文的人也能說出它。
那就是「Q」。

🥤 “It’s difficult to explain what Q means exactly,” said Liu Yen-ling, a manager at Chun Shui Tang, a popular teahouse chain that claims to have invented tapioca milk tea in Taiwan. “Basically it means springy, soft, elastic.”
Q texture is to Taiwanese what umami is to Japanese and al dente is to Italians — that is, cherished and essential. Around Taiwan, the letter Q can often be glimpsed amid a jumble of Chinese characters on shop signs and food packages and in convenience stores and advertisements.

請想一個你的感情對象（可以是曖昧、戀愛、或你想了解你跟他關係的對象）；或者根據你在感情中常表現出來的樣子，思考該描述與你的符合程度，做出最好的選擇（1~7，1代表非常不同意，7代表非常同意，4代表中性的選擇）。下面句子中的「他」，就代表你想像那個人，或一般來說，你在感情關係中的對象。

依照下面的方式，你也可以像心理學家一樣輕鬆（？）的計分（強烈建議拿紙筆，高手的話也可以用Excel或手機計算機）：

• 焦慮依戀（anxious attachment）把套底橘色的6個題目（2、4、6、8、10、12)加起來，這分數就是你的焦慮依戀總分，如果你沒有算錯的話，分數會介於6～42分之間。

• 逃避依戀（avoidance attachment）白色的題目是測你逃避依戀的分數，計算有點小迂迴，敘述如下：
a. 把3、7、11的分數加起來
b. 24-（第1題分數+第5題分數+第9題分數）
c. 把上面的2個分數加起來，就是你的逃避依戀總分（分數一樣會介於6～42分之間）

由於中位數是24分（每一題都選擇4的話）、所以大於24分表示你那個傾向比較高分（如果大於36分，那就表示你那個傾向還蠻「嚴重」的XD）。這意思是說：

• 如果你的焦慮依戀（anxious attachment）大於24分，表示你偏向焦慮依戀，你在這段感情當中，經常害怕被拋棄、常常需要尋求對方的「愛你的保證」（Excessive Reassurance Seeking Scale，ERSS)，典型的症狀如：你經常懷疑，那些說在乎你的人，其實並沒有那麼真心。你有很強烈的不安感，很怕自己會被不要，然後又害怕自己這個樣子會讓對方覺得你很沒安全感。優點是你對很多事敏感，未雨綢繆。

• 如果你的逃避依戀（avoidance attachment）大於24分，表示你偏向逃避依戀，你在這段感情當中，很害怕對方太靠近你，你傾向保留許多自己的秘密，也覺得他不可信任、甚至是感情不可信任，所有的關係有一天都會結束，還是靠自己就好。 優點是你可以獨立靠自己完成許多事情。

• 如果你兩個分數都大於24分，那表示你偏向焦慮跟逃避的混合（矛盾依戀），而比較高的那個，則是你比較主要的類型，你上面兩個狀況都有，則屬於「高等怪物」，雖然擁有上面兩者的特色（感覺很慘），但同樣的，你也可能同時具有兩者的優點技能。

• 如果你兩個分數都低於24分，那表示你偏向安全依戀，你跟對方在一起會讓對方覺得很有安全感，你不會擔心對方隨時會跑掉、 也放心把自己交給對方，而不會心懷恐懼，但這並不代表你的感情會一路順風，你也可能會有不安的時候。

你是哪種類型的呢？對我來說，每一個人都是特別的，這也意味著不管你多麼的不安，都仍然值得被愛 。不因為什麼，不因為你緊緊抓住某個人、或是無法信任別人，也不因為你做了什麼或不做什麼，而是你的存在本身，就值得被愛。
