現年67歲的哈維．溫斯坦是知名好萊塢權威製片人，在過去近30多年來，長期利用他在美國影視圈的權勢，威脅或性騷擾女星，甚至發生多起性侵強暴案件。而 #MeToo 運動便是在他自2017年被《紐約時報》和《紐約客》揭露一系列的性侵醜聞後，開始一路從好萊塢影藝圈延燒至全球各產業。💥💥💥
此次判決雖被視為勝利象徵，但若細看起訴內容及最終判決，免不了被外界認為是「重罪輕判」。前後90多名受害者出面指控，最終在刑事訴訟方面卻僅被控一項「三級強暴罪」及一項「一級性犯罪」成立。😠
相較刑事訴訟的曠日費時，原告甚至要面臨審理過程中的巨大身心壓力及人格醜化，因此在溫斯坦的相關案件中，有許多受害者便選擇民事訴訟，達成和解。
