“You look a lot happier and healthier” - was the best compliment I got recently hence I wanted to share this. This article is going to be long, please read with discretion. Over the past 6 months I have been through a number of things; (just to be short) things including a close one ill, selling my business, losing a friend and being in bad mental and physical health. All things add up and I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I was on a pill named “ Abilify” for 3 months straight. I was an angry person, my emotions just swing and change within seconds and all that was effecting my over all health. I would shout at people, the rage causes my heart to thump so hard; I would even fuck up my own breathing cause I was too mad!! I was to a point where I was flushing my problems with alcohol - which WAS NOT a solution, sometimes even caused more unnecessary problems...fix or non fixable. I was living in a way where I wasn’t happy; I was doing things FOR THINGS or to prove myself....but not in the progression of growth for myself or anything. I DID NOT LIKE myself and was in this vicious circle of self doubt, negativity, low self esteem and was a pessimist.... AND THAT FEELING WAS FUCKING AWFUL. The last person you want to hate on or dislike IS YOURSELF. I realised that and wanted to change. I started with self recognition first, I looked into my routines, habits, my “doings” for the past year and found out the root of my problems; I NEVER TOOK CARE OF MYSELF, mentally or phyically. Following on the incidents mentioned above also taught me NOTHING LASTS FOREVER, whether its a family member, a friendship or business. I have learnt to accept that things happen whether or not you have given your best in situations and we need to take care of our inner peace and move on. The only thing thats gonna last with you, is YOU. I need to be good form to deal with all this, I need a strong mindset, patience and valid actions to really “reset” myself. I start to believe when you love yourself enough or secure with yourself, you manage and deal with things properly and it changes the outcome.
