After arriving in Hohhot, the capital of the inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, which is also known as "青城(blue/green city)," we joined a tour to Xilamuren for the grassland experience. although the grass was not as luxuriant as we were expecting because it was late summer, the cool weather, the endless greenland, the blue sky; and the nearness to horses, sheeps, and cows were fascinating.
