เกิดเหตุยิงสลดกลางรอบฉาย The Forever Purge

ชีวิตจริงรุนแรงกว่าในหนัง เมื่อทางการได้ออกมายืนยันว่าในคืนวันที่ 27 กรกฎาคม 2021 เกิดเหตุยิงสลดที่โรงภาพยนตร์ Regal Edwards Corona Crossings & RPX Theater เมืองโคโรนา รัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย

เมื่อถึงจุดเกิดเหตุ ตำรวจพบ Rylee Goodrich หญิงสาววัย 18 ปี เสียชีวิต ส่วน Anthony Barajas หนุ่มดาว TikTok ชื่อดังวัย 19 บาดเจ็บสาหัสและถูกส่งไปยังโรงพยาบาล แต่ด้วยอาการบาดเจ็บทางสมองที่รุนแรงเกินรักษาทำให้ Anthony เสียชีวิตในในวันที่ 30 กรกฏาคมที่ผ่านมา

ทางตำรวจได้ให้ข้อมูลว่า Rylee และ Anthony ถูกยิงขณะกำลังรับชม The Forever Purge
หนังแอคชั่น/สยองขวัญ ภาคล่าสุดของแฟรนไชส์ The Purge เรื่องราวของวันหยุดประจำชาติ ที่ผู้คนสามารถก่ออาชญากรรม และฆาตกรรมได้โดยไม่ผิดกฎหมาย

หลังจากได้ข้อมูลจากพยาน ตำรวจได้เข้าจับกุม Joseph Jimenez ผู้ต้องสงสัยวัย 21 ปี ในข้อหาฆาตกรรม พยายามฆ่าและชิงทรัพย์ นอกจากนั้นยังพบปืนที่ใช้กระสุนชนิดเดียวกันอยู่ที่บ้านพักของเขา

ทั้งนี้ยังไม่มีหลักฐานใด ๆ ที่ชี้ว่า Joseph รู้จักกับเหยื่อทั้งสอง
