Daily advice for HK immigrants to the West:

Regarding manners, sometimes when you encounter Westerners, they may hug you. Quite often, in the UK, your female friends may even kiss you on the side of the face or the cheek. Don't act shocked but reciprocate. It doesn’t mean she’s into you. Don't automatically think you’re hot stuff. That’s just how people socialize. The best way to understand how others socialize is to observe and react to how they do things, and then reciprocate. If you just stand there stiffly, you’ll end up being “that guy”. Don't be that guy. I know HKers aren’t into public display of affections. Well, you’re in the West now. Public show of affections could be part of etiquette. Loosen up a bit.

在美國長大的時候，我每一次聽到「中藥」我都認為它是一個神秘迷信的老舊植物做成藥。 老實說，大多數西方人都不了解中醫藥，也不知道中醫藥的重要性和有效性！

為了多了解台灣中藥的事，我跟著來自美國知名的中醫師 Greg 一起逛台北迪化街。 Greg 真的很厲害，關於中藥幾乎什麼都知道！他也跟我一樣是台灣女婿，最近為了家庭和小孩搬到台灣！

我們還參觀了順天堂 SUN TEN 的中藥工廠為了了解科學中藥是如何製成的。 我們還嘗試了無數令人難以置信的中藥飲料和產品。 沒想到中藥真的可以這麼好！

While growing up in America, whenever I heard ‘Chinese Medicine,’ I thought it was some mysterious, superstitious medicinal plants. In fact, most Westerners don’t understand Chinese Medicine and don’t know about its importance and effectiveness!

To learn more about Chinese Medicine in Taiwan, I was invited to tour Dihua Street in Taipei with a renowned Chinese Medical Practitioner, Greg. Greg owns a Chinese Medicine store in San Fransisco and now practices and studies it in Taiwan!

We also stopped by the Sun Ten factory in Taichung to see how Modern Chinese Medicine is made. We also tried tons of incredible Chinese Medicinal drinks and products. Who knew Chinese Medicine was this wonderful?

Most Westerners aren’t familiar with Chinese medicine, but surpassingly one of Taiwan’s most respected Chinese Medical practitioners comes from America! Greg, an American Chinese Medical Practitioner, recently took me to Taipei’s Dihua Street to learn about Chinese Medicine, try Chinese Medicinal cuisine and even tour a factory to see how Modern Chinese Medicine is made!
