    Two weeks ago, I was commissioned to capture the empty streets of Singapore for #DEARCOVID19SG , a project by National Youth Council Singapore x DSTNCT.

    I was given a day to shoot (14th May), and capture this historical moment for a very meaningful project.

    All these photos can be found on https://dearcovid19sg.com/

    I have also included the time stamp of each photo, in chronological order.

    You can also be a part of this campaign, and the most inspiring 4 stories of each day will get $50 Grab Food Vouchers. All you have to do is share your stories and hashtag #DearCovid19SG on IG or FB and tag @nycsg and @dstnctsg :)

    Here is my letter for #DEARCOVID19SG :

    DEAR COVID-19

    You took over the world by storm, shutting down economies, locking billions of people at home.
    Creating havoc in the lives of everyone for the past couple of months, and forcing a new normal. Myself included.

    You made Singapore go into Circuit Breaker mode, taught me so many things and forced me to adapt as things are evolving very quickly, even though you made the entire economy come to a halt.

    You taught me to
    - communicate with my family more
    - build community without meeting
    - spend more time improving myself than wallowing in self pity
    - read
    - appreciate my health

    Yet you made me feel like a stranger in my own country, especially on the day I left my house to capture the empty streets of Singapore. Every location that I went felt completely foreign. I felt like a criminal being out while everyone was staying home because of you, I had goosebumps just walking in the departure hall. It’s a feeling that will stay with me forever.

    So please go away, and allow things to resume. I still yearn physical meet-ups over virtual meets, dining in over take outs.

    This, is my #DearCovid19SG story.

    The passage above doesn’t mean that a born-again believer can lose his salvation by sinning and failing to keep the Ten Commandments.
    Unfortunately, that is what is taught in some churches and they use the passage above to justify that.
    Learn the true meaning of the passage when you read it in the context of the whole chapter!

    The whole point of social media platforms is to allow customers to interact with your brand and raise the issues that matter to them. Being on facebook and twitter is to be able to spot conversations and trends about your business, your brand and your services. By listening and responding fast in an emergency, a big organisation gets a chance to show its human side.

    Too bad that a lot businesses choose to "deleted" the negative comments from their important customers, disabled the comments function, thinking it could control the message and communicate only what it wanted to be heard. wallowing in a sea of self-denial, living in their old-fashioned world where bad news doesn't exist, thinking all their customers are happy and everything is fine.
