中研院研究團隊將收集的資料利用電腦3D描繪，顯示大屯火山的岩漿庫約在 #大油坑、#磺嘴山 的下方，海平面下8公里就會遇到岩漿庫的頂部。
至於在2017年時估算大屯火山岩漿庫的位置，是在地下超過20公里深，但最新研究僅在8公里處，更接近地表。中研院地球科學研究所副所長林正洪解釋，4年前沒有台灣陣列，僅能用推估的方式，岩漿庫並未移動，只是現在用 #3D技術 才能明確顯示。
