    Anyone else guilty of “revenge bed time procrastination”? Because I am 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have this bad habit of using my phone before bedtime and it results in my late nights.. it’s so bad on my skin!

    A 2018 study found that young adults under the age of 25 who were victimized by cyberbullying were twice as likely to commit suicide or self-harm in other ways. 😳😔 Many more statistics link depression to online bullying.

    Our Mental health can be negatively affected by bullying and this is especially prevalent on social media. ❤️‍🩹

    A few weeks ago I hosted an online talk on this topic. Little did I know I would experience it firsthand myself yesterday.

    I sent a tweet out and in 280 characters my intention was to ask us all to Stop Cursing, to find a Different way to solve this whole Covid Situation together. Instead of cursing and Bashing anyone- another way perhaps. BUT I didn’t word it completely with what I wished to say- that I am worried about everyones health and well-being and feel we are not being heard.

    My poorly worded rushed tweet was of course then misunderstood and became the focal target for hate words and nasty comments on Twitter. 😳 I apologized for my tweet irregardless but it continued.

    Let’s all be clear for ALL our Safety: There is a VERY big difference between calling out and attacking a person with swear words, name calling and DM’s of threats.

    I wish I would have worded my 280 characters better. My intention got lost in the characters. I have painfully learned a lesson now. To be careful and choose my words better so as to not be misunderstood again. ❤️🤲🏻

    I have also learned something else- that people can be ruthless behind keyboards. They can be viscous, nasty and totally lack any insight into their anger whilst projecting it at you if you become a target. The more you try to reason- the more the attacking becomes crude.
    .
    There then is a ‘gang’ of trolls and the bullying ensues further and further…Each feeling justified and projecting their anger until you yourself may end up just like them, replying and becoming harsh too! 😩
    .
    That is when you leave the room- or in this case- the platform. No ones health is worth an argument, or a misunderstanding on a platform where only the Attackers Can Win because of numbers. 🧐🤨.

    As the saying goes- The Tongue is the most dangerous weapon in the world. In our times- it is not our tongues- it is our Thumbs. 👍🏻👍🏻 💜

    May we all treat each other with more kindness and compassion and may Allah forgive us for the pain and hurt we cause others. Aminn.

    HKD $85 Dan Dan Noodles 麻辣擔擔麵, Hong Kong-Sichuan style soupy recipe 😍😋. Surprisingly inside【Bayfare Social, Rosewood Hotel, Hong Kong】, they serve one of the best Dan Dan Noodles in Hong Kong. It has both a Spicy & Mala Tingling Sichuan Peppercorn sensation, accentuated with Minced Pork & Beef, Chili 🌶 & Scallion.

    It also carries the proper 'Sesame 芝麻醬' based viscous sauce, but crushed Peanuts on top. Many modern versions only have the peanuts part of equation.. Coz PB 花生醬 is a lot cheaper & easier to dilute, I hate those shops with a vengeance.. 😢

    The 1.0 menu in Bayfare also had 生煎包, the 3.0 revised menu now carries a 'Biang Biang' noodles 油撥面 instead but I never managed to order it as it was sold out. However, the Flat Iron Steak Frites $240 also made a come back in the 3rd menu, for a brief period they took the Steak & Burger off the dinner menu due to Henry being next door.. 🤔

    Also good to order some #Crodino, #Chinotto or #Cedrata drinks here. Much harder to find in HK context 🥤

    ?? THE POWER OF SELF-AWARENESS ??❤️
    We’ve all heard of words like self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth ... but how about self-awareness? What exactly is self-awareness and what is the power of self-awareness?

    Self-awareness is the ability to focus and evaluate our thoughts, feelings and actions. It ultimately allows us to master our emotions and not let our emotions master us. As a life coach, I hope to empower you to understand the concept of self-awareness.

    The Cycle of Self-Awareness:

    1. THOUGHTS - We can’t control the thoughts that pop in our head, but we can control which thoughts to focus on and which to dismiss. Although it’s good to focus on positive thoughts, we can’t simply ignore the negative ones. When we have negative thoughts, are these facts or merely opinions? Let’s tackle the negative facts and dismiss the negative opinions.

    2. FEELINGS - What we feel, influences our actions. We need to be mindful and aware of the feelings that arise from our thoughts. Are we feeling positive or negative from our thoughts? When negative feelings emerge, let’s ask ourselves why and determine the root cause.

    3. ACTIONS - We can either choose to REACT, an emotional action (“immature”) or RESPOND, a rational action (“mature”). When we are aware of the feelings which stem from our thoughts and the root causes of them, we have full control to respond rationally.

    4. OUTCOMES - Our outcomes are a direct result of our actions. If we react emotionally, this will lead to a viscous cycle of negative thoughts, negative feelings and negative outcomes. As such, we must respond rationally and take control of our outcomes.

    This process will take time and patience. So let’s be gentle and loving with ourselves! Next time we have a negative thought in our head which we cannot merely dismiss, let’s take a few moments to be mindful of how we are feeling. Should we react emotionally and let our emotions take the better part of us or respond rationally and take control of our emotions? When we choose to respond rationally, notice how it changes our outcomes !

    This is a cheesecake with an inviting avocado green color and a rich flavor. Increase its freshness with cool decorations!
    *Recipe* (makes about 650ml)
    1. Combine 8g of powdered gelatin with 45g of white wine.
    2. One by one, combine and mix 200g of room temperature cream cheese, 80g of sugar, and 100g of yogurt.
    3. Add 15g of lemon juice to one avocado and make smooth.
    4. Add step 3 to step 2 and mix.
    5. Heat and melt the mixture from step 1 in the microwave for about 30 seconds, and add to step 4 while mixing.
    6. Add 100ml of fresh cream, while mixing.
    7. Pour into molds, and top with biscuits that will become the bottom.
    8. Allow to fully cool in the refrigerator for about three hours.
    9. Decorate with fresh cream, pistachios, and chervil.
    10. Enjoy. We used 42% fresh cream. There was no noticeable flavor from the avocado, perhaps because the white wine removes its grassy-smell.

    *レシピ*(およそ650ml分)
    1.粉ゼラチン 8gを白ワイン 45gにふり入れておく。
    2.室温に戻しておいたクリームチーズ 200g、砂糖 80g、ヨーグルト 100gを順に加え混ぜる。
    3.アボカド 1個にレモン汁 15gを加え、なめらかにする。
    4.2に3を加え混ぜる。
    5.1を電子レンジで30秒ほど加熱し溶かし、4に混ぜながら加える。
    6.生クリーム 100mlを混ぜながら加える。
    7.型に流し入れ、ボトムになるビスケットをのせる。
    8.冷蔵庫で3時間ほどしっかりと冷やす。
    9.生クリーム、ピスタチオ、セルフィーユで飾る。
    10.いただきます。生クリームは42%のものを使いました。アボカドが入ってるとは気がつかない味に仕上がりました、白ワインがアボカドの青臭さを消してくれているおかげかな。
