#Philippines 🇵🇭 . 🕛 Duration: 30-minute engagement 🔧 Materials: cardboard (i used my spare box and cut it out) ; flag cut-outs, toothpick 📈Benefits: 1️⃣ geography 2️⃣ language literacy 3️⃣ value of respect towards other people having different color, culture and traditions . As part of #countryaugust in #homelearningmummies, thought of sharing a brief intro of our homeland 🇵🇭 to our dear #JulianaKatrice. August is also a month where we celebrate “Buwan ng Wika” which means The Week of the Philippine Language. . Grabbed the colouring sheet from @crayola is the #phflag. I gave her some #philippinehistory facts. . ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The 3 stars surrounds the sun represents #Luzon , #Visayas and #Mindanao. 🏝 - #PH is made up of 1,707 islands to make it as an #archipelago. #Manila - is where she was born 👶🏻 . As for the second part, I cutout the #philippinemap and asked her to lay it out and label the 3 island groups. . On the last part, I asked her to spell-out “P H I L I P P I N E S” as some using a toothpick. . Btw, this September @homelearningmummies will be having a home activities themed “Air”.
