Hot child in the city 🌞 Certain days yawn into the horizon longer than others - golden, hazy, soft around the edges with a peach-like fuzz. Ice cubes clinking against a chilled pitcher of lemon water, set down by the poolside. Plush white beach towels around our shoulders after, baked in the light and smelling deliciously of the sun. Bare feet padding over cool marble floors to the kitchen, choosing a mandarin orange to peel by the water's edge. Juice dripping down our sticky fingers. An indulgence and carelessness strangely reminiscent of childhood summers. This was one of those days.
