It floods high when it rains, the roof was torn open when wind blows

家人是我最大的靠山

故事敘述一個在McCafé等待靈感的作家，在一天中所聽到的對話，進而撰寫出自己想像的故事。在當晚作家與咖啡師的閒聊過程裡，在這些簡單的對話，逐漸變化成為充滿各種可能性的感人故事。而兩人也在彼此的故事接龍中，找到這段友誼新的可能性⋯

第一杯咖啡的故事，是一個充滿曖昧可能的浪漫邂逅：一對陌生男女在同一棟大樓工作。在忙碌的周間早晨，點餐的女生忘了帶錢包，讓久候在旁的男生主動幫忙，在客氣的道謝後，兩人卻有了一個新的約定⋯

第二杯咖啡的故事：是兩個關係不明的男人，在為了過往發生的事情爭執。他們可能是情侶、也可能是兄弟，但一開始劍拔弩張的氣氛，卻在一杯咖啡的時光之後，有了奇妙的轉變⋯

第三杯咖啡的故事：是一對互相試探的男女，瀟灑地宣告自己的感情狀態，卻又等待著對方主動破冰，那話中有話的怨懟，帶著滿滿的保留與不捨⋯

最後的隱藏故事，則是埋藏在各個故事中，咖啡師和作家看似不經意的閒聊對話，似乎也串連著一股說不出口的情感...

麥當勞迷你劇集《從喝杯咖啡開始》每集約3-4分鐘，由作家開頭描述他聽到的隻字片語，再自行發展成一個故事，但聽故事的咖啡師，卻與作家有著截然不同的解讀。而讓兩人的交流充滿火花的，不僅是對人們的留心觀察與傾聽，更是這杯開啟無限可能的咖啡時光，讓一切都變得更加細緻溫柔了。

這齣麥當勞McCafé的全新迷你劇集，是由《命帶追逐》和《范保德》的金獎編導蕭雅全所執導，以及他默契十足的夥伴侯志堅來主導配樂的。帶著同樣的細膩情感，描述了一個『說故事人』所創作的，以及自身體會的故事。讓我們印象最深刻的，是編導將第三杯咖啡所聽到的『錯過』故事，拿來連結到作家與咖啡師的曖昧情感。同樣都用『傻子』來責怪對方，卻也揭示了故事中的女子和咖啡師的隱藏心意，同時讓作家意會到——原來自己就是咖啡師版本的故事中的傻子。會讓咖啡師在工作地點留下喝咖啡到這麼晚的，不是因為咖啡、也不是這個地方，而是跟她共享咖啡時光的這個人。

這個系列劇集輕輕碰觸了關於邂逅、在乎、錯過，還有等待與把握的命題。溫暖地呈現了六個陌生人彼此之間，充滿想像的對話。
