Be Faithful in Small Things First

Imagine you walked into an antique shop to browse around. As you were taking a few steps backwards, you knocked into a vase and the lid crashed to the ground, breaking into two pieces.

You look around cautiously—no one noticed it. If you just walked away right now, no one will even know that you damaged the product.

Looking at the price tag, it is valued at a costly sum—more than one hundred dollars.

What would you do? Just walk out of the shop, acting like nothing happened? Most people would—and they would even laugh with their friends about it, running away together.

The voice of the sinful flesh says, “No one will even know. There is no harm done to you, and it’s not even such a big deal. Just walk away quietly.”

Sin in the flesh will make light of the situation and come up with all sorts of justifications just so it can do what is unrighteous.

When such things happen, there are some who are watching you—those in the unseen realm. God, the angels, and the demons, are watching you make your choice.

“They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.” (John‬ ‭17:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

However, as children of God, we can rise above the temptation to compromise. We are not of this world; our citizenship is in Heaven, so we don’t have to act the way people normally would.

Even if you have to pay for your careless mistake, God will surely restore you for the losses, and He will be especially pleased that you chose to do what is righteous.

“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” (Luke‬ ‭16:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

You may be reasoning with me, saying, “But it’s just a small thing—it’s not even a big deal. No one is harmed anyway.”

Jesus said that a person who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much. The one who can be entrusted by Him is the one who proves to be faithful in the small things.

When you are consistently faithful in things, no matter how small, you are building a habit for good success, making yourself above reproach, so that the enemy has no occasion to trap you.

On the other hand, if you lie, cheat, and steal in small things, you’re building a bad habit, and your mind will convince you to do the same when you’re handling big things.

In small things, the consequences might be unnoticeable, but when you make the same kind of compromises in big things, the negative consequences will be much worse. Don’t build a habit of self-destruction. Why would you train to be good at destroying yourself?

Can God trust you to be faithful in what He has made you a steward over? Are you venting your anger on your innocent child, stealing from your boss at work, cheating on your spouse, or even abusing your body by overeating? Will you do what is right, even when there are no human eyes on you, and you will never be praised by men for it?

When you’re next presented with a choice like that in the future—to compromise or to do what is righteous, pray to receive God’s grace to do what is right and pleasing in His sight. Building a habit of faithfulness in all things sets you up for promotions, and you’ll be walking worthily as the royal priest and heir that you are!

    Jesus said these words:

“If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?” (Luke‬ ‭16:11-12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

There are “true riches” that await the saints who have faithfully served Jesus in their lifetime. These riches can be called eternal rewards, and they will be measured and given to us when we stand before Jesus’ throne during the Marriage Feast of the Lamb.

Nothing you have now can be called “your own”. It’s all temporary things that you are holding on to. However, eternal rewards will be the true riches that are really your own. Learn about these rewards and how you can maximize them: http://bit.ly/sandcastlesdontlastforever

After visiting this exhibition, I have learned that we have so many blessings around us and yet we sometimes take them for granted. But if you step back and think twice, it’s all these unnoticeable things comprise the vast majority of our lives. Take these traditional bamboo craftsmanship for example, bamboo is a great source to artisans around the world. So guys, let us all enjoy these small things to improve our life in a big way.

Can’t wait for the light at the end of the tunnel.. ✨

Motherhood feel is so real.. nowadays, i always teary everytime watching youtube about documentaries about pregnancy, labour or baby related stuff and sometimes went into to weird side of youtube and watch the sad stories about mothers and their babies 😭

To balance my stress from WFH and feel being isolated, sometimes i watch youtube at the end of the day, what is your after office hour favourite activities when you are working at home?

Ok throwback to my last year birthday trip to Chiang Rai and where my bump still unnoticeable, i understand that it’s so irrelevant to post travel photos and encourage people to explore, while everyone is struggling to stay home at this time.. but for a content creator is such a hard decision whether to post or not to post.. whether to stick to our usual content or be more relevant to current situation..
anyway for now maybe we just take it as sharing an art/ photography..
so we all still can dream to visit beautiful places after this is over..
send my virtual love and hugs 🤗💛
