This Soup served in a Macau Cantonese Restaurant was interesting. Verified that it had strips of Portuguese Chourico Ham in it and the Potato and Kale taste was unmistaken. Surely this is a Portuguese 'Caldo Verde' soup concept... But get this bit: it also had Clams and Abalone within here. Which makes it resemble almost a Clams Chowder in New England just minus the cream. Both Clams Chowder and Caldo Verde are similar in base thickening composition with Onions and Potatoes, and both places have an abundance of Roman Catholics or related break-away Protestants. New England was settled by well Explorers from England itself on expedition and they also make a Leek, Potato and Onions thickened soup. France also has a Potage concept. But here we have a Hybrid Concept in Macau made by a Chinese chef ! Very smart and enjoyable 【澳門肥仔盒新益美食】
