I was talking about vaccine deaths on a pro-vax post. And everyone kept calling me a liar and saying that "NO ONE has died" from a Covid Vax. Is American media so biased that Americans truly don't know that people have died from vaccine shots???

Covid deaths in the last 2 years and vaccine deaths in the last few months......are almost equal for Taiwan.

And I know you guys will respond with " Well just because they died after getting the vaccine doesn't mean the vaccine caused it!!?!?!"

But.....remember in America they were listing people who were dying of cancer as covid deaths if they tested positive post mortem. So BOTH numbers are probably a bit exaggerated.

Despite its historic achievement, the Taiwanese same-sex marriage law passed in 2019 did not provide full legal equality. One glaring omission is the right of all transnational same-sex couples to lawfully marry.

We are the Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights (TAPCPR) and, as the leading legal aid organization for LGBTI rights in Taiwan, started raising awareness and campaigning for the rights of transnational same-sex couples back in 2017. We also represented several clients to initiate relevant litigation in 2019.

Same-sex couples in which one partner is Taiwanese and the other is a foreign national of a country that does not yet recognize same-sex marriage are not permitted to marry, as per Article 46 of Taiwan’s “Act Governing the Choice of Law in Civil Matters Involving Foreign Elements” which is currently interpreted as prohibiting such marriages in Taiwan. We believe that this interpretation is illegal and unjust, and transnational same-sex couples have finally won two court cases this year! Nevertheless, the government still refuses to promptly modify its interpretation or to amend relevant laws and regulations. The Judicial Yuan has prepared a draft amendment of Article 46 of Taiwan’s “Act Governing the Choice of Law in Civil Matters Involving Foreign Elements” and sent it to the cabinet (Executive Yuan) back in January 2021, but the cabinet has not yet sent the bill to the Legislative Yuan (our parliament).

The threat of COVID-19 has made the situation of transnational same-sex partners even more precarious than usual. We need more people to stand with us in this fight for true marriage equality!

The Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights ("TAPCPR") was founded in 2009, and registered with the Ministry of the Interior in August 2012. We drafted three bills for “diverse family formation” in 2012, which laid the foundation for future legislation. In 2017, we represented Chi Chia-Wei and won the same-sex marriage case (“Judicial Yuan Interpretation No. 748”), making Taiwan the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage in May 2019.

It's been close to 9 years since I formed my very first female team to compete in Dota tournaments, but the general view when it comes to female players have not improved much since; there often exists this atmosphere of contempt or skepticism, as well as a tendency for body-shaming and gender-based insults.

But in comparison, more and more girls nowadays know how to protect or stand up for themselves better, often choosing to voice out in the face of unjust treatment, and by doing that they send a loud and clear message to discourage the perpetrators, instead of staying silent in fear of offending people (what we were often taught to do), and as a result normalizing problematic behaviors such as sexual harassment or cyberbullying.

The numerous sexual harassment cases that've surfaced over the years in the esports scene were only the tip of the iceberg; each of the survivors displayed admirable courage in voicing out against bad actors in the scene, in spite of the power or influence the perpetrators might have, to share their harrowing stories with the rest of us. And with that they created opportunities for us to empathize and share in their experiences, which in turn allows the views and thinking of the community to evolve as a collective whole.

Every single voice matters. As time passes and people get more empathetic and vocal when it comes to such issues, slowly but surely, the scene will improve.

Hope to see the day where esports can finally be a safe space for women. ❤️

Im joanne, my original Instagram handle @juuannie was hacked and I was being blackmailed for money since 17/12/19 I immediately filed a report to Instagram and also to the police. Instagram got back to me on 19/12/19 and asked me for a selfie for verification. However they never replied me even thou I was trying every way to reach them.

After 1.5 months of feeling helpless and constantly being threatened by the hacker. I had to ask around and finally I found someone that worked for Instagram in HK. Unfortunately Instagram wasn’t able to revive my account as it’s already been deleted by the hacker. 6 years of my hard work and memories away just got stolen away from me. I’ve now come back stronger.

I really need your help to rebuild my platform, I promise you Ill work harder than before and take good care of my intellectual properties and my account. I’m not giving up. Join me to show the hackers that they can’t beat us by stealing in this helpless and unjust cyber world.
