Only my closest ones know i have asthma but i've never let it affect my life. Especially not so after 2 life-and-death encounters with asthma. Once was when i was very young, i was so out of breath, i even see white light. And my dad rushed me for treatment on his trishaw. I really thought i was gon die, no joke. Everything was hazy and i was losing consciousness. The other time was when i was a young adult and my asthma got triggered when i was in town, inside a hospital 😅 As ironic as it sounds, i was so scared to get treatment there and then cox i was scared it will cost a lot. So i slow-mo to the main road super light-headly, with difficulties breathing, squat on the side of the road to hail a cab home before i get treatment properly with a doctor. Sounds really silly but when you are dealing with it real time, it's very hard to make sensible decision while you're literally dying to catch your breath. And honestly, i count myself very very lucky to pull through both the episodes. That is two encounters too much. No one should be in that kind of situation and that's why it's important to understand your condition. My sisters and both my parents have asthma. Josh has asthma. It is honestly not a novel thing but i feel people have more understanding and information to learn about asthma. A lot of people think just relying on the blue inhaler is good enough but actually there are many more ways to prevent and control asthma. Intuitive message for the day: When you are triggered by people who don’t do what you would’ve done, it’s a gentle nudge from the Universe to reflect on yourself. People who love themselves don’t judge others. So if you’re judging, ask yourself why do you have attachments and expectations of what others should do in their life? Many claim that they are a kind soul because they would go all out for people, they would sacrifice themselves for others at the expense of their well being etc, but.. the moment someone is not able to do the same, they judge. Because these people habitually compare others to themselves. They put themselves as the “benchmark/standards”. They have not learnt how to practice true compassion and kindness and they assume kindness is something external, as in what you do for others. True kindness lies in your underlying intentions. If your intention is right, then you would not judge someone else who does things differently from you. If you habitually help everyone and judge those who don’t help out, chances are your intentions are not right. It’s coming from a people-pleasing origin that stems from the need to satisfy everyone. That leads to self-validation. The yearning for external acknowledgment fulfils the ego. It is external based and not internal based. A soul-aligned person helps others without expectations and also knows when to set boundaries when they can’t. This is TRUE KINDNESS. These group of people never judge others who don’t practice what they do as they are seeing things from the lens of self-love & compassion. They do what they can for others but also never neglect themselves.
