#原來這個文化元素被法國選入世界遺產！
朋友們，你們知道「聯合國教科文化組織」嗎？如果你們有去過艾非爾鐵塔和戰神廣場的話，那就一定有看過它的總部，這個組織在世界和平文化上做出了許多貢獻。每年世界各國，都會向這個組織申請，希望自己國家的當地特色文化能夠被列入「聯合國教科文化組織非物質文化遺產」之中。
「如果要選，你們會挑什麼東西來代表法國文化呢？」
法國政府今年也選出了下列三位參賽者來代表法國文化：
第一位參賽者：長棍麵包
第二位餐賽者：巴黎的鋅製屋頂
第三位參賽者：汝拉葡萄酒節日(汝拉是位於法國東部鄰近瑞士的省份)
#長棍麵包，為蝦密？
長棍麵包為什麼會被選上，應該不需要解釋了吧！說到最能代表法國人的東西，毫無懸念就是「長棍麵包」了吧。然而，法國國內麵包店的數量卻正在下降。於是，政府提出讓長棍麵包成為文化遺產，一部分原因，也是希望能夠藉此刺激年輕人，多多選擇麵包師傅的職業。
#巴黎的鋅製屋頂，為蝦密？
去巴黎玩的時候，我們常會登上艾菲爾或是聖心大教堂。但不管去哪裡，看到的景色其實都差不多：就是清ㄧ色昏灰的屋頂。這個灰色來自於「鋅」這個材質。巴黎的屋頂大多使用這種材質來讓屋頂更加輕盈、更加高挑，讓住戶在房子內有更多空間。而這種「鋅製屋頂」是巴黎非常有代表性的特色，是在法國其他城市的屋頂上看不到的！
#汝拉葡萄酒節日，為蝦密？
這個提議，可以說是最乏人問津的，基本上只剩下「長棍麵包」跟「巴黎屋頂」在相互較勁。不過在法國文化中，紅酒也絕對佔有一席之地！法國有很多與葡萄園相關的特別習俗，而這個來自法國東部節日就是一個很棒的例子！居民們每年會扛著「巨無霸葡萄串」踩街，這個葡萄串法文叫做：« Biou »「比烏」。
法國已經在這之中決定了一樣！你們猜得到是哪一樣被選中了嗎？

但是在這裡的意思是「在眾多選項中決定一個。」

Vous connaissez l’UNESCO ? Si vous êtes déjà allé voir la Tour Eiffel et le Champ de Mars, vous avez sûrement déjà vu le siège de cette organisation qui contribue à la paix dans le monde. Chaque année, les pays du monde entier essaient de faire entrer quelque chose, en rapport avec leur culture locale, au « patrimoine immatériel de l’UNESCO ».
Si vous deviez choisir, qu’est-ce que vous sélectionneriez pour représenter la France et sa culture ?
La France a sélectionné les « candidats » et devait donc choisir entre les trois suivants : la baguette de pain, les toits de Paris en zinc et une fête viticole du Jura (dans l’est de la France, proche de la Suisse).
Pourquoi la baguette de pain ?
Je ne pense pas qu’il soit nécessaire d’expliquer pourquoi la baguette a été choisie pour représenter la France puisqu’elle est un des éléments qui représentent le mieux les Français. Pourtant, le nombre de boulangeries est en baisse et le gouvernement voudrait inciter les jeunes à choisir le métier de boulanger avec l’entrée de la baguette au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO.
Pourquoi les toits de Paris en zinc ?
Quand on visite Paris, on a souvent la chance d’aller sur la Tour Eiffel ou de monter les marches devant le Sacré-Cœur. Dans tous les cas, la vue est la même : les toits gris qui se ressemblent. Ce gris, c’est le zinc. Le zinc est un matériau qui est très utilisé à Paris pour rendre les toits plus légers et permettre de faire plus de place pour les habitants en rendant les bâtiments plus hauts. Les toits en zinc sont typiques de Paris et on ne les retrouve pas (ou très peu) sur les toits des autres villes françaises.
Pourquoi la fête viticole d’une ville du Jura ?
Cette proposition est en fait la moins populaire des trois et la compétition se fait surtout entre la baguette et les toits parisiens. Le vin est quand même très important et fait partie de la culture française. La France a donc ses traditions liées au vignoble et cette fête de l’est de la France est un exemple puisque, tous les ans, les habitants de cette ville marchent dans les rues avec une énorme grappe de raisins : le Biou.
De toute façon, la France a déjà tranché. Est-ce que vous pouvez deviner ce qui a été choisi ?
D’ailleurs, si on inversait les rôles, que choisiriez-vous pour représenter Taïwan et sa culture ? Dites-nous dans les commentaires.
Trancher. Ce verbe, normalement, veut dire « couper quelque chose ». Par exemple : « Je tranche du pain. » Mais, ici, le verbe a une autre signification et veut dire « choisir entre plusieurs propositions » .

今日一早，美國聯邦參議員 #達克沃絲（Tammy Duckworth, D-IL）、#蘇利文（Dan Sullivan, R-AK）及 #昆斯（Chris Coons, D-DE）專程搭乘美軍C-17運輸機從韓國來到台灣，停留三小時，宣布捐贈75萬劑疫苗及相關防疫物資！

We thank the US for donating 750 thousand vaccine doses; Taiwan will continue cooperating with our democratic allies in the global fight against the pandemic!
US Senators Tammy Duckworth and Dan Sullivan of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Senator Christopher Coons of the Senate Foreign Relations arrived in Taiwan this morning. They announced that Taiwan would receive 750,000 vaccine doses as part of the first tranche of US donations.
During the speech, the senators specifically mentioned the support Taiwan had offered to the US during the COVID outbreak, including tens of thousands of face masks donation and “Love from Taiwan” masks given to the US congressmen by the USA Caucus of the Legislative Yuan. The assistance from the US not only served as a recognition of Taiwan’s help but also exemplified solid bilateral ties.
We are deeply grateful for the US bipartisan congressional visit, bolstering Taiwan with real action. During the global vaccine shortage, it has demonstrated robust US support for Taiwan. Furthermore, the timely rain brought by our democratic ally is not only a response to the kindness of Taiwanese people, the great outcome of the #TaiwanCanHelp campaign but also showed the hard work of the Tsai administration and Taiwan’s diplomatic personnel over the past years.
#RealFriendsRealProgress and #StrongerTogether are not sweet talks but prove that like-minded partners would take joint action in fighting the global challenge. Thanks to the help from the US, Taiwan will continue to contribute to global pandemic control in helping the world to get back to normal!
