【iRobot小教室#4】媽媽說：用吸塵器只要15分鐘，為何需要用掃地機器人？
對於許多傳統家庭主婦而言，用吸塵器打掃 20 坪的空間約只要 10-15 分鐘，用掃地機器人卻得花上 1 小時，就會產生一種「等掃地機器人慢慢清，不如我自己出手比較快」的心態。但是卻忽略了最重要的事：掃地機器人根本不會佔用到你的時間。以每天花 15 分鐘打掃家裡為例，一年 365 天就會花上約 92 小時的打掃時間。然而使用掃地機器人，你就可以省下 92 小時(就像多放4天特休假)，多陪伴你的家人、培養第二興趣、爽爽翹腳看電視，什麼都好。
更有可能的事實是，你平常也不會每天固定清掃，或是徹底清潔角落，導致家中髒汙環境越演越烈，甚至隱藏許多過敏原危機。iRobot Rooma 980 任勞任怨的態度，設定預約清掃後每天在固定時間啟動，居家樓面包含桌子、沙發及床鋪底下的日常清潔，都能有效減少塵螨與降低過敏。
如果你住在大坪數/多房間格局，可能會面臨掃地機器人一次掃不完的問題。iRobot Rooma 980 內建鋰電池提供 100-120 分鐘續航時間，更重要的是搭載自動返航功能，一次平均出去打掃約 20-25 坪，並且會預留部分電力在沒電前回到充電座，充飽電後再回到剛才停留的地方繼續打掃，直到樓面完整清潔。你不用再擔心掃地機器人每次都只掃半套或者到底掃到哪邊，你回家後還得接著繼續掃。
如果你正在房間進行偉大的樂高創作、或是家中有養貓狗寵物等不可侵犯的空間，也可以輕鬆透過附贈的雙重模式虛擬牆，阻隔 iRobot Rooma 980 接近。iRobot 虛擬牆提供兩種阻隔模式，常見的扇形虛擬牆大家都清楚作用，可建立長至3公尺的隱形屏障；半圓形 HALO 光環模式，則是適合保護寵物水碗或是隔離家中貴重物品的擺放區域。
