#Repost IG: @the.ark.team If you’re a diver who’s a fan of the big stuff, then good news: Layang Layang isn’t only about hammerhead sharks. For example, at dive sites like The Point or Wrasse Strip, sightings of reef manta rays are quite common.
Other commonly seen big animals here are white tip sharks, grey reef sharks, dogtooth tunas (some of these guys are so large they’re mistaken for a shark at first glance!), and schools of barracudas and jackfish. Sometimes, eagle rays and marbled rays make an appearance too. On a rare occasion, thresher sharks and even pods of orcas have also been sighted here!

香港海關破獲歷來最大批及最高價值的走私魚翅。海關發現兩個來自厄瓜多爾並用西班牙文列為「 魚乾」的貨櫃，打開發現26噸乾魚翅，當中九成為受管制的瀕危物種，估計來自3.1萬條長尾鯊及7500條鐮狀真鯊。
Hong Kong customs discovered the largest shark fin smuggling in Hong Kong’s history. There were two shipping containers from Ecuador listed as “dry fish” in Spanish, but Hong Kong customs discovered 26 tons of dried shark fins in them, with 90% of them from protected species, estimate come from 31000 thresher sharks and 7500 silky sharks.
