In the new year, Beijing and HK Gov choose not to answer HongKongers’ demands. Instead, they plan to escalate police brutality against HKers by arming HK police with new electroshock weapons like stun guns and net guns.
Over the past 7 months, new weapons have been used to target pro-democracy fighters, from sponge grenades, water cannons, sonic cannons, liquid barricade rounds, flashbangs, AR15, MP5, SIG516. But any political reforms promised? Zero! Any police held accountable for their police violence? None!
According to Amnesty’s reports, over 500 people were tasered to death in the past decade. Tasers can also stop the heart and kill. Not to mention that HK Police never follow any so-called “safety instructions” since the outbreak of Hong Kong protests.
Doubtless that HK police is going to treat HongKongers like prey and wage war on democracy movements in Hong Kong. I call on world leaders should not work with the notorious HK Police nor export those electroshock weapons to Hong Kong.
Despite a tough fight ahead, HongKongers won't be scared off. Just like many democractic and civil rights movements worldwide, our quest for democracy and freedoms is determined and cannot be deterred.
