#Repost @aishaltaf ・・・ Juz 30: Reflections (An-Nasr:1-3) When you complete any noble work, conclude it with tasbeeh, hamd and istighfaar. Praise and Exalt Allah for the success and completion of the work and seek forgiveness for any shortcomings along the way. When we complete Hajj, we do istighfaar, when we conclude our prayers, we do istighfaar, similarly, with the end of the month of Ramadan, we praise Allah for His immense favour in allowing us to witness this month and we seek forgiveness for our shortcomings because no matter how much we worship Him, we can never give the haqq of His worship. Aisha (ra) said, “The Messenger of Allah (saw) said these words often: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ ‘Exalted is Allah and with His praise. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I see you have said these words often.’ The Prophet (saw) said, ‘My Lord has told me that I will see a sign in my nation and when I see it I should say often, ‘Exalted is Allah and with His praise. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.’ I have already seen it in the verses: ‘When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest, And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes, Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.’’” (110:1-3) [Muslim] Tasbeeh and Istighfaar: Salma Umm Rafi’ narrated: She said, “O Messenger of Allah, teach me some words, but not too much for me.” The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “Say: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ‘Allah is the Greatest,’ ten times. Allah will say, ‘This is for me.’ Say: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ‘Exalted is Allah,’ ten times. Allah will say, ‘This is for me.’ Say: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ‘O Allah! forgive me.’ Allah will say, ‘I have done so.’ If you say it ten times, Allah will say each time, ‘I have done so.’” [Al-Targhib] May Allah forgive us and have mercy on us. May Allah accept all our worship, fasting, qiyaam, charity and forgive us for our shortcomings. May Allah allow us to witness many more months of Ramadan and may He be pleased with us.

#Repost @aishaltaf ・・・ Juz 22: Reflections (Al-Ahzab:41-42) Allah, the Exalted, enjoins the believers to remember Him with much remembrance, which includes tasbeeh (SubhanAllah), tahmeed (Alhamdulillah), and takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and other forms of dhikr, such as salah, as it is the best form of dhikr because it involves the heart, tongue and limbs. Dhikr also includes recitation of Quran, duas, learning and teaching the knowledge of the deen, studying and revising it. Abundance of Dhikr: The Prophet (saw) said, “Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah, the Exalted.” [Riyad al-Saliheen] The Prophet (saw) said, “The best deed is that you depart this world while your tongue is moist with the dhikr of Allah.” [As-Silsilah as-Sahihah] Adhkaar from Hadith: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “To declare: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ‘Exalted is Allah, praise is due to Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest’ is more beloved to me than anything over which the sun rises.” [Muslim] This dhikr is more precious than everything in this world, therefore, make a plan for yourself to encorporate these adhkaar in your daily routine, use the silent moments for dhikr. While you are waiting for someone, or grabbing your keys to go out of the house, or just sitting, start doing tasbeeh so that it becomes a habit. Ibn 'Umar said, “While we were in prayer with the Messenger of Allah (saw), one among the people said: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً ‘Allah is truly Great, praise be to Allah in abundance. Glory be to Allah in the morning and the evening.’ The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘Who uttered such and such a word?’ A person among the people said, ‘It is I, O Messenger of Allah (who have recited these words).’ He (saw) said, ‘It (its utterance) surprised me, for the doors of heaven were opened for it.’” Ibn 'Umar said, “I have not abandoned them (these words) since I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) saying this.” [Muslim]
