นี่คือโปรเจกต์ที่น่าจับตามองที่สุดในตอนนี้ เมื่อค่าย Blumhouse ขวัญใจคนรักหนังสยองขวัญ ชนะประมูลลิขสิทธิ์ในการดัดแปลงบทความ She Stalked Her Daughter’s Killers Across Mexico, One by One, จาก The New York Times มาสร้างเป็นภาพยนตร์

โดยบทความดังกล่าวเป็นผลงานการเขียนของ Azam Ahmed (หัวหน้าฝ่ายข่าว The New York Times ประจำภาคพื้นเม็กซิโก, อเมริกากลาง และหมู่เกาะแคริบเบี้ยน) เล่าเรื่องราวชวนทึ่งของ Miriam Rodríguez คุณป้าชาวเม็กซิกันวัย 52 ปี (ตอนที่เกิดเรื่อง) เมื่อลูกสาวของป้าถูกแก๊งค์ค้ายาในเมือง San Fernando ลักพาตัวเรียกค่าไถ่ในปี 2012 ถึงแม้คุณป้าจะยอมจ่ายเงินตามคำขู่กรรโชกแล้ว แต่เมื่อสัจจะไม่มีในหมู่โจร ลูกสาวคุณป้าจึงถูกสังหารทิ้งอย่างน่าเวทนา เป็นศพปรากฏในปี 2014 แม้ป้าจะแจ้งความไปแล้วก็ตาม แต่ตำรวจก็ไม่มีทีท่าจะตามคดีให้ ไม่ว่าจะด้วยเพราะเกรงอิทธิพลมืดหรือไม่ก็ตาม ส่งผลให้ป้าต้องสวมวิญญาณ "มิสซิสสร" ลุกขึ้นมาสะกดรอยทรชนทั้งหมดด้วยตัวเอง โดยบทความเผยว่าผู้หญิงตัวคนเดียวอย่างป้าเริ่มแกะรอยจากโซเชียลมีเดีย ก่อนจะใช้แผนปลอมตัว เพื่อเข้าถึงคนร้าย จนในที่สุดเวลาผ่านไปหลายเดือน ป้าก็สามารถจับคนร้ายส่งเข้าคุกได้ครบแก๊งค์ทั้งหมด 10 คน! ซึ่งรายละเอียดปฏิบัติการณ์บ้าระห่ำของเธอ เราคงจะได้เห็นในฉบับภาพยนตร์

แม้ปัจจุบัน Miriam จะจากโลกนี้ไปแล้ว เธอถูกมือปืนยิงสังหารภายในบ้านพักในวันที่ 10 พฤษภาคม 2017 (ตรงกับวันแม่ของประเทศเม็กซิโก) แต่การกระทำอันกล้าหาญของเธอก็ได้ปลุกระดมให้ชาวเมืองลุกขึ้นมาเรียกร้องสิทธิสวัสดิภาพความปลอดภัย รวมถึงเธอยังเป็นแกนนำในการก่อตั้งองค์กรตามหาเด็กหาย นอกจากนั้นทางสภาเมืองยังได้ทำป้ายอนุสรณ์เพื่อสดุดีวีรกรรมของเธอไว้ที่สวนสาธารณะประจำเมืองอีกด้วย

Thank you to all those who brought forward their complaints regarding the V2K telegram group, as well as the various media outlets who uncovered this disturbing news through their investigative reporting. We deeply appreciate the swift action of the authorities in initiating police proceedings against these individuals exhibiting sexual predatory behaviour.

We have also written to the Home Minister to ensure this serious problem will lead to the introduction and implementation of the Sexual Harassment Bill; including a long term look at what’s to be done. We want our women and children to live and thrive in a safe environment, not made into objects to be stalked or preyed upon by sexual predators.

To individuals out there who are members of the V2K telegram group, be aware of your reprehensible, immoral actions by participating. Get help, or get ready to face the consequences.

7月29日，四名學生動源前成員因涉嫌違反《國安法》被國安人員拘捕，當中包括一名17歲的中四學生何忻諾Yanni。她近日接受本台專訪，重新憶述當日被捕的經歷，更表示至今心有餘悸

據Yanni表示，當日下午，她在大圍被十多名不明人士帶走，該批人士聲稱為警務人員，唯一直沒有向她出示委任證。及後，該批人士將Yanni帶返其住所才出示委任證和搜查令，在搜查期間，警方檢走多部電腦和電話、含有政治口號的衣物和旗幟以及一批政治書籍，合共逾四萬港元。Yanni當日被捕時身體雖沒有受傷，但劫後餘生心有餘悸，因為由被捕至搜屋期間均無人知悉

由2016年參加社運開始，Yanni也預計了自己會有被捕的一日，但沒有預計這一日會這麼快。Yanni稱由2017年開始，一直都被不明人士跟蹤，但當年覺得情況沒有當下危急，所以不以為然。直至近日，她才感受到自己的生命安全受到威脅

Yanni話如果有得再選擇一次，仍然會走社運這條路，因為總有人要走出來。對於日後需要因《國安法》的案件上庭，她坦然不相信香港現時的司法制度，並已經有準備要承受牢獄之災，「但如果法官問我認唔認罪，我一定唔會認」

原本計劃於今年八月前往美國學習的Yanni，因護照被警方沒收，被迫放棄留學計劃。她曾經希望長大後能夠開一間cafe，過一些平淡的生活，但現在已不敢去想像未來的生活

對於問到有什麼說話想與香港人說，Yanni則希望香港人「能夠不要放棄、不要忘記犧牲左和受牢獄之災嘅手足，特別係12位被送中嘅香港人。同時唔好覺得移民就可以解決問題，移民係解決唔到問題嘅」

【”I will not plead guilty if asked on court”. A story of an activist arrested under the National Security Law】

Yannie Ho, one of the four arrested former members of Studentlocalism under the National Security Law, reconstructed events of her arrest on an interview with Daily Record.

She was abducted by a dozen of unidentifiable men claiming to be police officers at Tai Wai on the day of her arrest, in which they refused to present their warrant cards. They only presented her with it along with a search warrant upon arrival at her residence. A large number personal belongings including laptops, mobile phones, t-shirts printed with political slogans were seized in the raid. She revealed that the whole process was not known by public, being solely on her own.

Since her participation in the city’s pro-democracy movement, she has been prepared for her arrest, but has not expected it to be that quick. She told us that she was stalked by anonymous since 2017, and felt that her safety could be compromised in recent months.

“I will choose to participate in the city’s pro-democracy movement if I were given a chance to reconsider”, She said. “Someone has to step outside.” She is already prepared to face possible imprisonment and vowed not to plead guilty on court.

Her plans on studying aboard fell through after her travel documents were confiscated by the police.

“ I’d like to own a café when I grow up, live a simple life. But I couldn’t imagine what’s going to happen on me,” she said.

“The problem here in Hong Kong can simply be solved through immigration, we should pay more attention to those jailed and those detained in mainland”.
