The Value of Jesus’ Blood

“For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh: how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it. For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives.” (Hebrews‬ ‭9:13-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The wages of sin is death. This is the penalty of transgressions against the Ten Commandments.

Just one death was enough to redeem us and pay for all the sins of the world.

Think about the immense value of this person, Jesus Christ.

God the Son gave up His life so that through His death you might live.

The New Covenant of Grace is a will. In it, it is states that once you place your faith in Jesus as Lord, you receive the good things that belong to Him, including His perfect righteousness.

This will was paid for by Jesus’ shed blood, and it came into effect when Jesus died at the cross.

Do you know details of the inheritance you are entitled to receive through grace? Spend time in the New Testament to discover the riches in glory that are now yours to receive through faith.

Jesus Bequeathed His Estate to You

Jesus did not die just to purchase our pardon from transgressions, but He also gave us everything good that belongs to Him.

The New Covenant of Grace is a will. In it, we are the heirs of a vast inheritance.

What Jesus did at the cross is essentially Him saying, “I am taking the penalty of everything bad you did, and in their place, everything good that I have, I bequeath to you.”

That is crazy! The first question would be, “Why would you do that, Jesus? I was not even nice to You—in fact, I sinned constantly against You like an enemy.”

We must realize that Jesus was sent by Abba God to do this. Jesus’ actions shows us the Father’s will.

Abba God did not want us to be separated from Him, so Jesus became “The Way” that leads back to Him.

There is no proper reason to pardon a vile criminal who behaves like your enemy, and bequeath him your entire inheritance, except for the reason of love.

It is only because God loves us that He designed this whole salvation plan, so that we would be spared from punishment and instead enjoy the abundance of His grace.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love. By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.” (1 John‬ ‭4:7-12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God has to punish sin, but love is who He is. One is a responsibility, the other is a heart’s desire.

When we see how much God loves us, we will not want to continue in hatred or bitterness. Instead, we will look up to Him and want to walk in the same kind of love as Him. God’s love will then have its perfect work completed in us.

This is like a blob of red paint being dropped into a glass of water and being fully stirred until the whole mixture is red. If you hear about His love and do not receive it with a receptive heart, it is like allowing the blob of paint to sink to the bottom of the glass without being mixed into the water.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”” (John‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Won’t you allow God’s love to have its intended effect in your heart? Jesus’ disciples are to be known by their love for one another. Christians are supposed to be the most loving people in this world, so let your good works done in love shine for God’s glory!

A Scene of Heavenly Glory

“For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm, the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them, for they could not stand that which was commanded, “If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned”; and so fearful was the appearance that Moses said, “I am terrified and trembling.” But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels, to the festal gathering and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.” (Hebrews‬ ‭12:18-24‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Imagine the passage above as a scene in a movie. The person who wrote the epistle to the Hebrews described it most beautifully.

Picture this with me: a mountain on earth burning with fire, shrouded in blackness and darkness, with lightning streaking and thunder booming all around. This is Mount Sinai when the Old Covenant of the Law was given. A trumpet blast sounds and the voice of God gives a severe warning with a threat of death as two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments appears, floating in front of the screen.

Suddenly, the tablets are snatched away as if by a strong magnetic force and balanced upon Jesus’ hands right before the nails are driven into His hands. As the Roman soldiers hammer the nails down, the stone tablets are also attached to Jesus’ hands at the cross, crucified with Him.

Then, the camera pans upwards, zooming past the clouds. You see Mount Zion, the mountain of God in the distance, and the heavenly Jerusalem sitting upon it, radiating gloriously like a priceless jewel. Reaching a huge pearl gate of the city, the gate rolls aside, and myriads of angels fly across like a flocks of migrating birds, singing beautiful songs.

You see the river of the water of life dividing the city into half, with trees of life on its left and right.

The camera follows the river that proceeds from God’s throne, into His sanctuary at the highest point of the city, and you see the Father seated as judge over all, and standing on His right hand is Jesus smiling and His arms outstretched to welcome you with a loving embrace.

The scene ends with a close up on the ark of the covenant in the sanctuary that has the blood of Christ sprinkled upon the mercy seat, and the camera zooms into just one drop of His blood crying out for your blessing, redemption, forgiveness, favor, healing, restoration, and all good things as the credits roll.

【ナスのガリバタステーキ】
今日は、『ナスのガリバタステーキ』を作りました！片栗粉をまぶして焼くことで周りはこんがりとして、しかも美味しいガリバタソースがしっかりと絡みます。そして中はとろっとろ！口に入れたらとろけるナスステーキが仕上がります。
ナスだけとは思えないほどにご飯が進んでしまいます！！簡単でサクッとできるのに、めっちゃ美味しいのでぜひナスがあったらお試しください。

〈材料〉一人分
なす 小１本(100g)
片栗粉 小さじ1
☆みりん 小さじ2
☆醤油 小さじ2
☆バター 5g

【Eggplant garlic butter steak】

【鶏肉とナスのチリソース】
今日は、今が旬のナスを使って『鶏肉とナスのチリソース』を作りました！片栗粉をまぶしてから焼くことで、鶏肉はこんがりとナスはカリッジュワーに仕上がります！
チリソースの味付けがとにかくご飯に合う味付けで、とっても美味しいです！
お家にある材料と調味料でチャチャッとできるレシピなのにご飯がめっちゃ進むので、ぜひともお試しいただけると嬉しいです。

〈材料〉1~2人分
鶏もも肉 150g
ナス 1本(150g)
片栗粉 大さじ1
☆ケチャップ 大さじ2と1/2
☆にんにく 生姜チューブ 各３㎝
☆豆板醤 3~4㎝
☆砂糖 小さじ1と1/2
☆鶏ガラスープの素 小さじ1/2
☆水 大さじ2

【Chicken and Eggplant Chili Sauce】
Today, I made "Chicken and Eggplant Chili Sauce" using the eggplants that are in season now! By sprinkling with potato starch and then roasting, the chicken will be brown and the eggplant will be crispy!
The chili sauce seasoning goes well with the rice, and it's very delicious!
Even though it's a recipe that you can use the ingredients and seasonings you have at home, the rice goes a long way, so I'd be happy if you could try it.

1 eggplant (150g)
