Live Free from the Curse

“Yahweh says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh. For he shall be like a bush in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah‬ ‭17:5-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When you trust in your arm of flesh, you are unable to receive God’s grace in your circumstances. You make Christ of no effect to you when you operate by the flesh instead of by the Spirit.

The cursed way is to be like Adam after the fall, cursed to eat bread by the sweat of his brow. The ground would sprout forth thorns and thistles, hindering the fruitfulness of what is sown.

Hard labor by the flesh and not by the anointing is the cursed way. “Nothing is going to happen if I don’t do it myself, so I will handle it on my own.” That is the mindset of one who trusts in his arm of flesh.

What is the difference between the “bush in the desert” and the “tree planted by the waters”? The answer is: the presence of water.

The cursed man does not care to receive and meditate on the water of God’s word, so he does not have the hope from God’s promises.

On the other hand, the blessed man is planted by the waters, constantly receiving and meditating on God’s word. He has strong faith and hope in God’s promises, and experiences fruitfulness, health, youth renewal, and provision.

“The farmer sows the word. The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them. These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble. Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word, and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”” (Mark‬ ‭4:14-20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Why do you think the devil puts in so much effort to snatch the seed of God’s word from your heart? He deceives, distracts, intimidates, and tempts, all so that he can convince you to give up on God’s word.

It is because a person who allows God’s word to grow in his heart is the biggest threat to the demonic kingdom. A person who prays, loves, and preaches the Gospel destroys Satanic strongholds, yokes, and bondages, setting captives free.

Such a person’s life flourishes through God’s word, and enjoys hundredfold harvests of God’s blessing.

If the enemy can steer you away from receiving God’s word, he can keep you living in defeat. Let us see through his evil strategies and do the exact opposite: every day, receive the Gospel and hear about the gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace available to you through our Lord Jesus Christ. Saturate your mind and heart with the Gospel. This is one way you can silence the serpent in your life!

Scatter More Seeds and Increase

“There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself. People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him. He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.” (Proverbs‬ ‭11:24-28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In this world, there is a principle at work, and that is the principle of sowing and reaping: every seed sown and watered eventually produces a harvest.

“While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”” (Genesis‬ ‭8:22‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When you give, that is an act of sowing, and it will have an immediate effect of blessing somebody, but it will also produce a harvest for you in due time.

The kind of harvest you reap depends on the type of seed you sow. If you sow a financial seed, you will receive a multiplied harvest of finances.

“Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. As it is written, “He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.” Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; you being enriched in everything to all liberality, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:6-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Those who sow generously will reap generously. The apostle Paul confirmed this and encouraged believers to give cheerfully knowing that their gifts go on to bless many people, produce thanksgiving to God, and also abounding grace to the giver.

If we constantly receive but do not give, it will breed the love of possessions, and be detrimental to our own well-being. Hoarding, stinginess, and a scarcity mindset will fester in a person who does not give.

When we step out in faith to worship Jesus through tithing our income and giving as led by the Holy Spirit, we sanctify our hearts from the love of money.

It also has the secondary effect of sowing financial seeds to produce a harvest in our future.

When we give, we are actively putting our trust in the Lord and not in riches. Whenever we give, we can pray for the Lord to multiply our seed for sowing.

As God increases your prosperity and enlarges your coast, get excited about being able to sow even more than before.

I once saw a quote by Mark Batterson, “When God blesses you financially, don’t raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.” This is so succinct and wonderfully true. Covet the privilege of being able to give more.

Material possessions in this world are fun and nice comforts and privileges to have, but nothing beats the honor and joy of sowing into God’s kingdom, sponsoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and feeding those in need like widows and orphans, especially those in our household of faith. The rewards for these acts of righteousness will remain forever!

・薄切り肉(牛、豚など好みで) 150g
・焼き肉のたれ(市販品) 大さじ4
・ごはん 茶わん軽く 2杯分（約200g）
・塩 少々

■手順
1. 肉と焼肉のたれをよくなじませる。
2. ごはんに軽く塩をふり、1/4量ずつ「サランラップ®」に包み、小さめの俵形に握る。
3. (1)の肉を広げ、(2)のおにぎりをそれぞれ巻く。
4. フライパンに「クックパー®フライパン用ホイル」を敷き、(3)をのせ、弱火～中火で全面を焼く。
【ポイント】肉の火通りが心配な場合は、皿に移して「サランラップ®」でゆったりとふたをし、電子レンジ（500～700W）で様子を見ながら1～2分加熱してください。
