So...a couple of weeks ago I made the decision to visit a fertility specialist for an initial check up on my fertility health. I didn’t think I was going to be as nervous as what I was... I was a total bunch of nerves !! 🤭 But I knew I was ready to gain more of an understanding about my body and the factors affecting fertility.

So as promised to update you guys on my journey, I did an initial assessment and an ultrasound at the clinic and it was a really enlightening process! After having some time to reflect, I’m glad I made the decision to go as it made me feel empowered and inspired to make informed decisions about what I need to be thinking about before starting a family. While I’m only planning to have kids in a few years’ time, it’s never too early to take charge of my fertility health now. I can now take steps to help improve and preserve my fertility.

From having a balanced diet (cutting down on caffeine, alcohol etc.) to keeping my stress levels in check, these are all simple, mindful health and fertility tips which all women should be aware of. I encourage any woman who is thinking about their fertility to go and get tested 🤗 It’s not as scary as we all think it is!
