2. Create Your Purpose 🌸 A motto of mine for the past 2 years. Like most of you I spent a good time of my life believing that I will one day ‘find’ my purpose - like this purpose of mine is already perfectly crafted & readily waiting to be found like an Easter egg or that one day my purpose will miraculously fall on my lap (esp after some soul searching trip). One day it dawned on me that none of us know when we’d go and one too many go before their time, if the above was true - what if they never ‘found’ their purpose in time? Does that mean that they lived a purposeless life? All of a sudden purpose sounded like such a luxury or a vain attempt or excuse for a life not fully lived. Also, we are born into an era of privilege that things like self fulfillment or purpose is an option or a needed motivation in order to thrive. Create your purpose. I became a believer that while you may not ‘find’ meaning or purpose in everything that comes your way, you definitely have everything you need to create purpose for yourself. It’s either you create within the given circumstances or you create your own circumstances. In other words, i believe 100% in creating opportunities vs finding opportunities (find would mean that it exists & readily awaits to be found - while create means it is limitless, undefined & completely yours). But how do I know what feels purposeful to me? Well I try to keep it simple - 1. What excites you? What are you willing to skip sleep for? What makes you go to bed with a heart song. 2. When you identify the activity - this is the hard part, identifying the value behind the activity - the why. 3. Once the values are known, they can show up in many forms through various activities or pursuits (that you have to actively put effort to create opportunities for) = Feeling purposeful in what you do. Purpose helps us weather the storm & keeps us moving forward. Stand in your power - ‘what permission are you waiting for to become the person you are meant to be?’ - @tonyrobbins
