Chẳng nhớ vì sao lúc ấy tớ lại chọn cuốn này nữa, có lẽ là chọn bừa trong số những cuốn có trên Kindle thôi, nhưng em nó hóa ra lại là một sự lựa chọn không hề tệ chút nào anh em ạ. Có lẽ cái tựa đề đã gợi Chi nhớ tới mơ ước hồi bé, là mở một hiệu sách của riêng mình, ngày ngày không lo nghĩ gì, chỉ ngồi đọc sách. Lớn lên mới thấy cái vế giữa thật là không thể =))
Anh em có bao giờ tự hỏi về cuộc sống của một người bán sách cùng sự khác biệt của nghề bán sách ngày trước và bây giờ—thời đại thương mại điện tử phát triển, người người nhà nhà mua sách online không? Cuốn này có thể sẽ giúp anh em hình dung phần nào những điều vui buồn, cùng những khó khăn họ phải đối mặt đó.
Cuốn này được viết dưới dạng nhật kí ghi chép lại mỗi ngày về công việc mua bán sách, các vị khách, số lượng đơn hàng trong ngày của The Bookshop – hiệu sách cũ lớn nhất Scotland. Tác giả, cũng chính là chủ hiệu sách, Shaun Bythell kể chuyện khá là duyên, vừa đủ chân thành, vừa đủ hài hước châm biếm.
Những ngày ở hiệu sách, chúng ta sẽ được tiếp xúc với muôn vàn kiểu khách hàng mua sách. Khách tới mua, khách chỉ xem không mua, khách hàng là trẻ con tới và để lại những mớ hỗn độn, và đặc biệt, như thể là đặc sản của những hiệu sách, đó là những khách hàng với những câu hỏi kì lạ. Những phần này mang lại cảm giác như hồi tớ đọc cuốn ‘Những điều khó đỡ khách hàng nói trong hiệu sách’, buồn cười và khó đỡ lắm, kiểu vừa hơi ngô nghê lại vừa bực bực sao ấy, nhưng gây cười thì không phải bàn. Tớ rất thích những ngày người đọc được theo chân Shaun đi đến nhà riêng của khách để mua lại sách cũ của họ, thường là người thân muốn bán đi những cuốn sách của người quá cố. Nhìn vào kệ sách, ta sẽ biết được gu đọc của một người, cũng như phần nào tính cách của người đó, và những giây phút lặng lẽ khi Shaun lái xe trở về hiệu sách cùng thùng sách đã mua, như thể đem theo một phần của người ấy về cùng vậy.

Với tớ thì cuốn này không quá đặc sắc, nhưng tớ yêu cái bầu không khí ngập tràn mùi sách của nó, cũng như cái nhịp điệu bình yên nơi hiệu sách cũ. Mỗi ngày đọc trước khi đi ngủ, sẽ dễ chịu lắm đó anh em.

Before I opened the shop, I dropped off the van at the garage for a service. I had forgotten about it, so it meant we had no vehicle and couldn’t visit Jessie. When I told Vincent that Jessie was in hospital, he assured me that he would service the van as quickly as possible.

The Shearings coach tour turned up at about 11 a.m. Normally a swarm of miserly pensioners shuffles from the bus and invades the shop. They never buy anything, grab everything that’s free and complain about the prices, but today the only one who came in was a young woman who was polite and interesting and even bought some books. I asked her if they had kidnapped her. She looked blankly back at me, then slowly backed towards the door.

In the afternoon a customer spent about an hour wandering around the shop. He finally came to the counter and said, ‘I never buy second-hand books. You don’t know who else has touched them, or where they’ve been.’ Apart from being an irritating thing to say to a second-hand bookseller, who knows whose hands have touched the books in the shop? Doubtless everyone from ministers to murderers. For many that secret history of provenance is a source of excitement which fires their imagination. A friend and I once discussed annotations and marginalia in books. Again, they are a divisive issue. We occasionally have Amazon orders returned because the recipient has discovered notes in a book, scribbled by previous readers, which we had not spotted. To me these things do not detract but are captivating additions – a glimpse into the mind of another person who has read the same book.

My brushes are not expensive to purchase, they cost around $1-4 USD, some prices may vary on the different brushes used duo to special use of each brush. Remember that with each brush you use you will have a different experience and a range of different feeling. The important thing is that you and the brush work as one to find the balance between creation and skill. The artist's hand is very important in making the painting and to feel the way the water on the brush moves as the brush creates the ultimate master piece.

「還記得嗎」對Angela具有很大的意義，她希望可以用有故事的MV來感動大家，MV以微電影的手法呈現，Angela重返少女時代，穿上高中制服，還換上一頭俏麗短髮，整個人青春洋溢，說是高中生也不為過，完全沒有違和感，MV中她跟男主角大談戀愛，兩人有浪漫互動，以一首歌當成兩人十年後的約定。

Angela說，藉由這樣的故事情節呈現，更能傳遞回憶、約定與未來，並讓人回想起自己在十年前跟十前後的差異有多大，就像這首歌一樣，一直提醒著Angela，她的身後有一群支持著她的粉絲，即使十年過去，她依舊感受到滿滿的愛，沒有變過，每當聽到這首歌，她又有繼續唱下去的動力，也希望聽到這首歌的人，能夠想起他們說好要完成的事情，莫忘初衷，堅持下去。
