June 29 is a day to recognise the bravery of those who live with #scleroderma. 4 years into scleroderma, weekly injection, frequent checkup and blood test..it doesn't get easier, but we learn how to live with it and praying hard that her condition doesn't worsen and affect her basic daily life. While research is still going on to find a cure, we told her the pain you feel today will be your strength tomorrow, and your biggest strength will always be us - your family. Spreading awareness is to let more people know more about the condition and seek treatment early, because it's rare and most cases only realised when they reach the later stage of the disease. Once again, I'm thankful and will always remember friends who helped me and Yi He during our difficult times when she first diagnosed. What is Scleroderma? Scleroderma (sklair-oh-DUR-muh) is a rare autoimmune disease that involves the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues.

I know how you guys dont like my SLE story. Yeah, same actually. But i love sharing so yeah!!! My SLE is doing good so far. Alhamdulillah. My athritis got better, i can slowly bend my hands and legs now. My gastric is controllable (bcos i always eat???? Hahaha) and my lungs are functioning good i rarely have breathing problems now. Kidney, heart, liver and brain are alhamdulillah still doing well, I guess? However, i have two skin diseases; scleroderma and vitiligo. My skin tightens (tegang) bcos i have too much collagen in my body and it somehow affects the internal organs as well. All these red dots on my face is the result, sebab the veins got too tegang and pecah, so thats why my skin is reddish. Vitiligo is heavy pigmentation on skin, so that explains why my skin ada uneven skintone. Nothing much can be done to treat all these, even pakar tak berani nak take risks bcos my diseases are rarely combined together. But im goooooood, makeup helps! Even SLE itself is a life-long disease. Selalu orang tanya, "oh Ara tak sihat lagi eh sekarang" I mean look at me im doing good alhamdulillah but SLE is gonna be there, sampai hujung nyawa i. There is no permanent cure for SLE, unless Allah decides so. Believe me when i say im okay. Im not affected by the fact im gonna live with this disease until the day i die. Dont sympathize too much bcos honestly, i really appreciate it if you can just treat me normally. But satu je i mintak, please dont ask whats wrong with my face, boleh? 😁 I've tried so hard with makeup to hide everything, but sometimes i just wanna be makeup-free, i just wanna be me. Thanks guys.
