Our #Hainanese secretary, Ooi Kee How, went to Kuala Lumpur to give a talk in #Cantonese at TEDxPetaling Street to reveal the joy and subtlety of #Hokkien tone #sandhi. He also warns of what we stand to lose if we give up speaking Hokkien and Cantonese to our children. (with Mandarin and English subtitles)

Beautiful Bali

Bali is Indonesia's main tourist destination, with a significant rise in tourism since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80%. In 2017 TripAdvisor named Bali as the world's top destination in its Traveller's Choice award.

Bali is part of the Coral Triangle Indian Ocean, the area with the highest biodiversity of marine species especially fish and turtles. In this area alone, over 500 reef-building coral species can be found. For comparison, this is about seven times as many as in the entire Caribbean.

Bali is also home to a unified confederation of kingdoms composed of 10 traditional royal Balinese houses, each house ruling a specific geographic area. The confederation is the successor of the Bali Kingdom. The royal houses are not recognised by the government of Indonesia; however, they originated before Dutch colonisation.

峇里島是印度尼西亞的主要的旅遊聖地，自1980年代以來，旅遊業顯著增加。 與旅遊相關的業務佔80%。2017年TripAdvisor在其Traveller's Choice大獎中將峇里島評為全球最佳旅遊目的地。
