"การผสมเกลือ ไม่ใช่วิธีการทดสอบคุณภาพสบู่เหลวครับ"

มีการแชร์คลิปวิดีโอกันค่อนข้างมากในวันนี้ จากครูคนหนึ่ง ที่อ้างว่ามีวิธีการดูว่า สบู่เหลวยี่ห้อไหนเป็นสบู่ห่วย ยี่ห้อไหนเป็นสบู่ดี ด้วยการเอาไปสบู่เหลว 2 กด (จากปั๊ม) ไปผสมกับเกลือหนึ่งช้อนโต๊ะ (อ้างว่าเหมือนเกลือในเหงื่อ) ถ้าสบู่ยังเหลวอยู่ แสดงว่าเป็นสบู่ดี แต่ถ้าสบู่กลายเป็นก้อนไข แสดงว่าห่วย (ทำให้เหงื่อจับเป็นก้อนอุดตันรูขุมขน) ใช้แล้วจะทำให้เป็นสิวที่หน้า เป็นฝีที่ก้น" ... เรื่องนี้จริงหรือ ?

ไม่จริงนะครับ !! การเอาสบู่เหลวไปผสมเกลือ แล้วดูว่าเป็นก้อนไข ไม่ได้แปลว่าสบู่นั้นจะคุณภาพต่ำนะครับ ! มันเป็นแค่ปฏิกิริยาเคมีธรรมชาติ ขึ้นอยู่กับสารเคมีที่ใช้ทำสบู่ แค่นั้นเอง

จริงๆ วิธีการที่ว่านี้ ก็เป็นวิธีสาธิตที่บริษัทขายตรงชื่อดังเจ้าหนึ่งนิยมใช้มาสาธิตสบู่เหลวของตัวเอง เพื่อบอกว่ายี่ห้ออื่นๆ ไม่ดีเพราะจับเป็นก้อนไขเมื่อผสมกับเกลือ แต่ของตนเอง ไม่จับเป็นไข ไม่อัดตันผิว

พวกสบู่เหลวนั้น มักจะมีสารสำคัญเป็น Potassium Soap ซึ่งก็คือเกลือโปตัสเซียมของกรดไขมัน (ที่ได้จากน้ำมันมะพร้าวหรือน้ำมันปาล์ม) ผสมกับสารลดแรงตึงผิวกลุ่มประจุลบ เช่น Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES ) และ/หรือสารลดแรงตึงผิวกลุ่มที่มีทั้งประจุบวกและลบ เช่น Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) และ/หรือสารลดแรงตึงผิวกลุ่มไม่มีประจุ เช่น Ethoxylated Alcohol, Alkyl Glucoside

การเติมเกลือลงในสบู่เหลวนั้น จะมีผลให้การละลายในน้ำของสารลดแรงตึงผิวลดลง ทำให้สารเหล่านี้กลับมารวมตัวกันเอง และแยกตัวออกจากน้ำ เรียกว่ากระบวนการ salting out

ดังนั้น การใช้สบู่เหลวแต่ละยี่ห้อ จะมีการจับเป็นก้อนไขเมื่อผสมเกลือ หรือไม่เป็นก้อนไข ก็ขึ้นอยู่กับชนิดของสารเคมีที่นำมาใช้เป็นส่วนผสมของสบู่เหลว (เช่น ยี่ห้อที่มี Potassium Soap หรือมีสาร SLES มาก ก็มักจะเกิดก้อนไขได้มาก) โดยไม่ได้แปลว่า ถ้ามีชนิดที่จับเป็นก้อนไขอยู่เยอะ แล้วจะทำให้คุณภาพของสบู่เหลวนั้นแย่ลง แต่อย่างไร

นอกจากนี้ ในสภาพการอาบน้ำจริงๆ นั้น ปริมาณของเกลือที่อยู่ในคราบเหงื่อไคลของตัวเราเอง ก็ไม่มีมากจนถึงขนาดที่จะทำให้เกิดก้อนไขไปอุดรูขุมขนได้ ... แถมเกลือในเหงื่อเอง ก็จะถูกน้ำละลายออกไปตั้งแต่ตอนที่ล้างตัวของเราด้วยน้ำเปล่าตั้งแต่แรกแล้วด้วย เหลือแต่ไขมันในคราบเหงื่อที่ต้องใช้พวกสารลดแรงตึงผิวในสบู่เหลว ช่วยกำจัดออกไป

สรุปคือ คลิปทดสอบสบู่เหลวที่แชร์กันนั้น ไม่ได้น่าเชื่อถืออะไรครับ ... คุณภาพของสบู่เหลว ควรจะดูจากมาตรฐานในการผลิตมากกว่า และลองใช้ด้วยตนเองว่าผิวของคุณเหมาะกับยี่ห้ออะไร ใช้แล้วไม่แพ้ ก็พอเพียงแล้วครับ

How to make
