2021-06-09 09:00:11Taiwan’s next referendum will soon vote on activating the nation’s fourth nuclear plant, as well as constructing a natural gas plant on an algal reef that's critical for Taiwan’s biodiversity. These decisions come as governments around the world are scrambling to meet the demands of the Paris Agreement, and as environmental activists fight for a more sustainable planet.
Green Parties propose an alternative voice in politics to tackle our environmental ruin. All over the world, there are 91 Green Parties that believe in committing our governments to environmental stewardship, through electing green movement leaders into office. In Asia, Taiwan is home to the region’s oldest Green Party, which won a National Assembly seat in 1996 - their very first election campaign.
Our guest today is Professor Dafydd Fell, a political scientist at SOAS University of London, and Director of the Centre of Taiwan Studies. Dafydd Fell is author of the new book: “Taiwan’s Green Parties: Alternative Politics in Taiwan”, published in March 2021 by Routledge.

在蔡英文的論文門事件中，為蔡護航的施芳瓏被揭出（https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/ch/news/3800142 ），台北匯給倫敦政經學院的48萬英鎊，被指名給施芳瓏。這筆錢被質疑是蔡英文方面給施芳瓏的遊說款或報酬，以報答她在論文門事件中為蔡護航。
對這48萬英鎊，施芳瓏一直沉默，未給出解釋。她如果心裡沒鬼，應該坦蕩向社會做出交待，以釋疑。
蔡英文的博士論文和學位廣被質疑，因疑點太多。而施芳瓏如果真的也從倫敦大學獲得博士學位，她更應該知道，這個博士學位的獲得過程是怎麼回事，更應堅持真實、誠實的原則，告訴公眾真相。但施芳瓏卻百般替蔡英文辯護。
施芳瓏在海外台灣同鄉會的一次英文演講令人大開眼界，因其英文之爛（好像是火星上的外語），可登世界威尼斯記錄，但她就有膽獻醜，也可能是醜美不分，喪失基本的判斷能力。這個演講引起很多人質疑，施芳瓏的英文差到如此地步（她的英文講話視頻在這： https://www.taiwanus.net/news/press/2019/201910222227481835.htm ），怎麼能通過博士論文答辯呢，哪個口試委員能聽懂她在說什麼？
近日台灣評論家、一直質疑蔡英文假學位的曾淼泓博士在節目中提到（ https://youtu.be/Hocz1s7lgcc ），他偶然從網上查到，直到2017年，施芳瓏都還是 PhD candidate（博士候選人），也就是她還不是正式博士。可是施芳瓏到台灣、在歐洲，都是稱Dr.Shih Fang-long（施芳瓏博士）。看來她一直為蔡英文護航的原因在這裡，她倆都是假博士，是惺惺相惜、假假相惜。
施芳瓏2017年到捷克的Masaryk大學參加『學生研討會』（Students Workshop），維也納大學在網頁上（ https://tsc.univie.ac.at/recent-news/single-view-recent/article/students-workshop-social-movements-in-chinese-societies/?tx_ttnews[backPid]=192008&cHash=138dac521dc171218a8a5173d22ae624&fbclid=IwAR0gr_DdaAg6vR-6MHn_74E9z83bQKyZGdhNYTwWeMHnvUBer5nJa1BrCTU ）介紹這次活動時，清楚地寫著：四位演講者，一位是正攻讀學位的博士生，另一位施芳瓏（Shih Fang-long）是博士候選人（PhD candidate）。如果他們寫錯了，那麼愛面子、爭虛榮的施芳瓏，早就會抗議這個『烏龍』，不會這麼置之不理。

TERBANG BERSAMA MDB (SIRI 54)

Sejak awal 2000, saya kerap ke London untuk seminar tahunan & mesyuarat penasihat Syariah bagi beberapa bank & dana Islam. 3-4 kali setahun. Kota London sudah sebati dengan saya. Lapangan terbang Heathrow amat intim seolah2 setiap kali saya sampai, ia akan tersenyum kepada saya; "Welcome back to London my good friend".
Saya juga tersenyum lebar setiap kali saya menjejak kaki di jambatan udara menghubungi kapal terbang dengan lapangan terbang. Udara London yang segar memang mengasyikkan. Setiap langkah di atas lantai lapangan terbang Heathrow seolah2 memahat idea & mimpi baru. Memang London yang terkenal dengan kepelbagaian (diversity) & kesungguhannya (intensity) adalah resepi bagi berani & suka untuk berimpian.
Selepas habis seminar atau mesyuarat resmi, saya ada dua aktiviti utama. Lawati library di universiti & majlis sosialisi dengan rakan2 di London dari pelbagai bangsa & kepercayaan. Kedua2nya amat kaya & berisi. Kadang2 lebih subur dari seminar. Perbincangan di atas meja makan di London selalunya mengenyangkan minda. Kalau di tempat lain, hanya kenyang perut. Di sini, jarang minda & emosi tak kenyang.
Saya juga sudah pandai cari restoran Malaysia di London. Saya juga sudah pandai bershopping. Ini aktiviti biasa apabila terbang jauh di tempat orang. Ada tarikan mencari makanan pilihan & membeli belah mencari hadiah buah tangan.
Apabila saya ke London, saya akan cuba berjumpa dengan rakan2 pelajar Malaysia yang saya kenal. Saya selalu buat ini sehinggalah tahun 2020 bila pandemik menyerang dunia. Di awal tahun 2000, saudara (Dr.) Azam Adil masih membuat PhD beliau di SOAS. Saya akan bawa buku2 yang diperlukan beliau dari Malaysia. Kami juga kerap berjumpa di kedai2 makan. Sewaktu saya membuat PhD di awal 1990an, saya akan tumpang tidur dirumahnya bila saya di London. Beliau berjaya menamatkan PhD di SOAS 3 tahun tepat. Tabik spring.
Saya sudah semakin kerap terbang. Hati dah rasa tak selesa bekerja di agensi kerajaan (UIAM). Tidak mungkin saya akan terus sebegini. Untuk terbang lebih tinggi & kerap saya kena bebas seperti seekor burung. Resign?
