你準備今年要到美國留學了嗎？AIT領事組提醒各位F-1 及M-1學生簽證申請人，為確保簽證申請順利，請詳閱以下關於I-20表格上「課程開始日」的相關重點：

1. F和M簽證可在課程開始日前120天內核發給新生。請不要等到最後一刻才申請簽證！

2. 新生必須在課程開始日前30天內抵達美國。

3. 課程開始日之後才抵達美國的新生將不予以核發簽證。

4. 如果課程開始日有所變更，請務必要求學校在SEVIS系統上更新課程開始日期，才能獲准核發簽證。

Are you an F-1 or M-1 student visa applicant planning to study soon in the U.S.? Knowing these important points about the program start date on your I-20 can help you have a successful application process:

1. F and M visas can be issued to new students up to 120 days prior to their program start dates, so don’t wait until the last minute to apply for your visa!

2. New students may arrive in the U.S. up to 30 days prior to their program start dates.

3. Visas cannot be issued to new students who plan to arrive after their program start dates.

4. If your program start date changes, you must have your school update the start date in your SEVIS record before a visa can be issued.

AIT Taipei will resume routine visa services starting on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. We will prioritize student and exchange visitor visas (F, M, J). Please be aware that wait times may be long for routine appointments. All F and M student visa applicants must have a new I-20 at the time of interview. The I-20 must state whether courses will be online, in person, or both. Electronic I-20s are acceptable. Applicants for J visas should also be prepared to demonstrate that their programs are not completely online.

At this time, students in fully online programs do not meet the requirements for visa issuance. More information about the Department of Homeland Security’s new procedures for international students can be found at: https://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/bcm2007-01.pdf.

Please be aware that the presidential proclamations suspending entry to the United States for certain immigrants and nonimmigrants are still in effect, including those proclamations suspending entry for individuals with prior travel to certain countries and/or who present a risk to the U.S. labor market (Presidential Proclamations 9984, 9992, 9993, 9996, 10041, 10014, and 10052). More information is available at https://www.ustraveldocs.com/tw. If you are subject to any of these proclamations, AIT will not be able to process your visa at this time.
