While I was at Broadcast Asia I was able to check up on the new BMPCC4k that will be sold later this year. Its quite an interesting camera with a lot of great features for quite an affordable price. The camera will be able to film up to 4k 60p and has a similar sensor to the one inside of the Panasonic GH5s. Its quite the improvement it has gotten over the previous Pocket which I had bought before. Even though its called a pocket its not pocketable, but it does pack quite the features and making this small camera even able to compete with the larger cinema camera with its performance. Especially the new features of enabling recording over USB-C is an interesting option as it enable recording over larger SSD drives at a far lower cost then C-Fast or SD cards options. I am quite looking forward to get this camera my self later this year when the shipping starts.

Quick test of Sony 28mm f2 with SEL075UWC adapter which becomes a 21mm f2.8 on my Sony A7rii filmed in 1080 50p at night with 1/50 f2.8 at iso3200, was bit of an low light test also to see how the 1080 50p would look like at night. It seem ISO3200 is too much for this camera on full frame mode and at such even would need a faster lens or not use the UWC which had change the f2 lens to an f2.8. Also the entire video was filmed handheld without any support.

But the most important part of this bag is its USB port which I can connect to my phone or to my Sony A7rii, this is really great when I am using the Sony A7rii for capturing an event or just for daily vlogging, enabling longer use of the camera without the need of swapping the batteries as it can recharge the battery inside the camera.
