The Streets of Rage series (originally Bare Knuckle in Japan), is one of the most beloved series in videogames. I can speak for no one else, but these are my reasons.

I played these games on original Sega Genesis Model 1 hardware (High Definition Graphics model) with HD Retrovision component-video cables, but I did use a Mega Everdrive instead of the original cartridges. For Double Dragon, I used an Everdrive N8 on an American NES. I recorded these two systems with an OSSC line-multiplying 4x to 960p and fed that to my computer with the Micomsoft XCapture-1 capture-card. In post-production, I scaled these recordings up to 1080p.

For the brief TMNT: Turtles in Time footage, I used an SD2SNES on an Analogue Super Nt to capture 1080p, and recorded it with an Elgato HD60.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Overdrive was captured off my Nintendo Switch using the Elgato HD60 as well.

The song in my new intro and outro was done by Hyper Potions, and it is called Time Trials. You can check out the full song here: https://youtu.be/mnfNWe-HHsI. It really lifted my spirits when I was down, and made me happy and motivated to live life.

R-Type III is my favorite 2D shooter (shoot-em-up, shmup) on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super Famicom). It was designed from the ground up for the system, and it shows. The game is very beautiful, both in design and technical-standpoints; and has no slowdown, but the game is slow to compensate. To balance the slowness, the game was designed to be very methodical, requiring memorization and precision. Although you die in one hit, you get unlimited continues and at least one checkpoint per stage.

I played this on an Analogue Super Nt. I didn't have the real cartridge, so I used my Custom White SD2SNES to play it. Check out some photographs of it here: http://themblan.blogspot.com/2018/03/custom-white-sd2snes.html.

I played the game at 1080p at 60 frames per second, and captured it with my good old Elgato HD60.

Although I don't show any deaths in this video, many ships were harmed during the making of this video. I died a lot, but I still like this game a lot; hence why I'm making a video about it.

I would like to go over different terms used in the gaming-community on YouTube. A Let's Play is a video played live with commentary. A Longplay or Playthrough is a video played without commentary, usually in one sitting. This video is a Walkthrough, where I try to guide the viewer/listener step by step through the game.
