驗孕棒的結果也可以用摸的。最近英國皇家盲人協會設計了一款觸摸式驗孕棒，可以讓視力不好的女性，用觸覺的方式知道結果。代表了試驗者將不需要把驗孕結果先給其他人看過，自己可以最先知道 。

這是一個貼心的發明，因為眼盲的病人將不會需要經過他人看過驗孕棒來得知懷孕的訊息， 透過他人來得知這個極私密的訊息，不僅麻煩，也可能會因為利害關係人知曉而造成心理上的壓力。

現代社會的女性在懷孕上本身的話語權與決定權上仍然是相對弱勢 ，來自於工作、配偶、家庭或長輩甚至社會上的意見都足以影響懷孕的決定。一個對身體影響如此巨大的事件但自主權卻是薄弱的。

在懷孕的議題上給予女性對於更多的尊重與權力，我們一起努力。

A tactile pregnancy test was invented at the Royal National Institute of Blindness (RNIB) in the UK recently. Women with poor vision can now take pregnancy tests in complete privacy by “feeling” for the result without asking someone to visualise it.

The elimination of a third party in the process of pregnancy tests empowers women with visual impairment. Having your pregnancy results read by others is troublesome at best and forced decision-altering at worst.

This invention highlights how a mother with visual impairment may be vulnerable to other people's opinion at the time of her pregnancy and seeks to rectify said problem. There are many social factors that can influence a woman's (with or without visual impairment) decision to become pregnant, such as conflicting opinions from work, spouse and other family members, and a woman's own voice may be lost in the midst of these many factors.

Respect and empower women on the issue of pregnancy decisions. It’s something we should work on together.
