The Ultimate Purpose of Life
“This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 WEB)
The person who wrote the Book of Ecclesiastes is the richest and wisest mortal man in history: King Solomon.
After sharing all his wisdom, his conclusion is this: our whole duty is to fear God (worship Him with reverential awe) and keep His commandments (to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to love one another as Christ loved us).
“Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you; even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him. This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:1-3 WEB)
If you have been wondering, this is the purpose for which we were born: to know Abba God and Jesus Christ.
Not just in the mind, but to know God experientially, intuitively, and eventually face-to-face.
There will be a time of judgment in the future, but for a believer, there is no sentence of condemnation because our evil works have already been judged in Jesus’ body at the cross. He endured the fiery wrath of God on our behalf.
All that is left for us is to receive the rewards for both open and hidden good works done for Christ.
If you live your life keeping the Grace commandments—basically a life of leaning on God’s love and sharing that love with others, you will be greatly rewarded when it is time to stand before Jesus’ throne.
Wait, what? We get spared for all the evil deeds that we do and get rewarded for all the good works done by using the grace that God first gave to us? Yes, it sounds way too good to be true, but it is the truth.
Most believers have no idea what God’s rewards are. They know of blessings, but when it comes to rewards, it is hardly taught about. The common misconception is to mix up blessings and rewards—but these two are different.
Blessings were paid for by Jesus’ blood at the cross, and God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Heaven. On the other hand, rewards are still with Jesus in Heaven. He said that His reward is with Him—we will only receive them after He comes again.
““Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.” (Revelation 22:12 WEB)

The Four Living Creatures: Portraits of Jesus Christ
“Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. The first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”” (Revelation 4:6-8 WEB)
The four living creatures before God’s throne were probably created to reflect the four aspects of Jesus Christ.
Lion: Jesus as the King
Calf: Jesus as the Young, Industrious Servant
Man: Jesus as the Perfect Son of Man
Flying Eagle: Jesus as God who came from Above (Heaven)
The living creatures of full of eyes around and within, representing Jesus’ omniscience (all-seeing, all-knowing).
Their six wings represent Jesus’ might and ability to protect those who take shelter in Him.
These living creatures worship God the Father without resting day or night, not because they are forced to, but because they want to. God’s presence inspires reverential, worshipful awe.
Our Lord Jesus also intercedes on our behalf day and night without any rest because He never gets tired, and His heart is to save and deliver as many people as He can.
Later on in the Book of Revelation, we see the four living creatures showing the four horsemen of the Apocalypse to John, using the words “Come and see!”
“I saw that the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as with a voice of thunder, “Come and see!”” (Revelation 6:1 WEB)
Today in the world, it will be obvious to a discerning believer that the four horsemen are the spiritual culprits behind the evil things going on.
The pandemic situation, financial turmoil, wars and rumors of wars, as well as false religions and demonic doctrines. These are the works of the four horsemen.
The world is ignorant about this, trying to diagnose natural reasons for the problems, placing blame on each other, but the root of the problems is a spiritual one.
But each living creature exposes the activity of each horseman, and leaves them vulnerable in the light.
In other words, whenever we receive a revelation about each of the four aspects of Jesus, we will experience God exposing the activity of the corresponding horseman in our lives, and the deliverance from it.
Do you want to be protected from sickness, death, financial ruin, wars, strife, and false doctrines? Keep beholding Jesus in His four aspects.
The best places to do this is in the Four Gospels. Each of the Four Gospels corresponds with an aspect of Jesus:
Matthew: Jesus as the King
Mark: Jesus as the Young, Industrious Servant
Luke: Jesus as the Perfect Son of Man
John: Jesus as God who came from Heaven above.
When you receive revelations of Jesus, you experience deliverance from evil. Beholding Him transforms you.
His omniscience is in your favor, His might is used to protect you, and you benefit from His unending intercession before Abba God.
Everything the four living creatures represent, Jesus is, and exceeds!

The Meaning of Life
“This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13 WEB)
Does the word “commandments” throw you off?
The commandments for us today are not the Ten Commandments. It’s only two: to believe in Christ Jesus whom the Father has sent, and to love one another just as Jesus loved us (1 John 3:23).
To fear God simply means to worship Him with reverential awe. When you ‘fear’ God this way, you won’t have the fear of man.
If you want to know the meaning of life, it’s found in the main verse above.
Worship God, have faith in Jesus and let His love be known to the world through your words and actions.
This is great wisdom and also the whole duty of man, so let all you do be centered around this!
Even if we live 120 years, our lifespan is just a vapor of breath in contrast to eternity.
Let it have eternal impact by being a yielded vessel for God.
Don’t stumble through life blindly and in vain, chasing after things that don’t matter.
Being drunk with wine is pointless and harmful, but being drunk with the Holy Spirit is great gain.
I pray for you to enjoy the overwhelming lightness and joy of being under God’s power—there is so much joy and life in His presence!
One of the best things you can do is to study God’s word to understand His heart of love towards you.
On this page, I endeavor to send forth fresh revelation every day, at least twice a day.
As the Holy Spirit reveals truths to me, I simply share them after receiving from Him.
