It was a great challenge. Took part in Charity Challenge: Annual Virtual Burj Khalifa Climb. This year objective is to do fund raising for SOS children's village in Krygyzstan. Link in my bio.

With a minimum donation of AED100 to enter the event. The challenge begin on 22nd May and until 9am Monday, 24th May.

    Mission: Climb 628m

Took Mitoceps an hour prior to the challenge.

I did a total of 191 Floors (3.29m per floor = 630m), that I broke it down into the following:
    2 X 2 X 20F + 4 X 10F + 2 (2 X 8F + 4F) + 2 X 8F + 7F = 183F

    20F Splits - 2:09.5 min | 2:09.5 min | 2:05.7 min | 1:56.4 min
    10F Splits - 54.8 sec | 51.2 sec | 49.1 sec | 47.9 sec
    8F splits - 37.9 sec | 37.0 sec | 18.4 sec (4F)
    8F splits - 35.3 sec | 36.3 sec | 17.5 sec (4F)
    8F splits - 36.7 sec | 35.3 sec | 35.6 sec | 30.1 sec (7F)

Total Climb Time - 17:04.2 min for 191 Floors (630m)
*There are rest between each rep / set.

Lone ranger mode, pushing it from each interval. Although I was targeted to do 4 X 40F + a 31F in the end, but I changed it to what I have done above. A shorter interval but much faster pace this time round.

The fatigue kicks in after completed the first 2 sets of 2 X 2 X 20 Floors and the 4 X 10 Floors set. I progress the effort, picking up the pace from each rep to the next.

The third set I made a pit stop after the 20 Floors (8F, 8F, 4F) to consuming oxygen on @oxyxtra.my (Content are as follows; 95% Oxygen and 5% Ambient Air). Took two inhalation and ready to go and complete the following 20 Floors (8F, 8F, 4F).

On the final round, I felt great again and continue to strike through another combination of 8F, 8F, 8F and 7F to end the challenge. Initially, I was thinking of going 6F repetitive but I think I can do 8F, therefore I hit the 8F repetitively.

Mentally challenging climb especially you are doing it with much harder effort. I wasn't on my best shape but I am so glad to completing it!

Hoping that one day we get the chance to climb at the staircase of Burj Khalifa.

    Stay home, stay safe everyone.

Unpretentious good food at this French modern bistro tucked away in TTDI. Let the food speak for itself @topshelf_kl offers casual dining & the food here pays homage to modern French cooking.
    What I’ve tried:
*Spanish Pork Belly RM49 (2nd Pic)
-Saffron Risotto, Bacon & Gremolata (a green sauce made of chopped parsley, lemon zest & garlic). The absolutely tender pork belly definitely complemented well with the deliciously simple saffron risotto. You would be able to witness the perfect marriage on this plate - The tender pork belly, zesty Gremolate & the plump & al dente center of Risotto, well thought out and executed for sure.
Another favourite of mine here was the
    *Mushroom Orzo Pasta RM 36
-Marinated mushrooms, bacon & truffle egg. Orzo is a small flat oval-shaped pasta that requires very little time to cook. It’s not rice but it's a small, rice-shaped pasta. It feels like you are eating rice but no you are not because you are able to taste that ‘al dente’ texture. With the added tasty crispy bacon pieces, this creamy orzo is definitely a must-try here. Really difficult to describe the overall flavour profiles but if you are a fan of mushrooms, bacon and creamy pastas, this is not to be missed.
    What we had as starters:
    Moules Mariniere RM39
My very first ‘good’ mussels experience was in Brussels. The whole Moules Frittes, you either love them or no. But oh well I’d eaten mussels in Brussels and finished off the plate of fries. Now, I’m here eating this Moules Mariniere with white wine, shallots and fresh herbs. The mussels from Topshelf were tender, and to pair it with toasted bread - it’s definitely the ultimate combo. Make sure to have it with bread and soak up all the scrumptious sauce. Would reorder when I visit again.
    Liver Pate & Toast RM25
-Chicken Liver, Olive Tapenade & Toast
Just make sure to paté-up your toast repetitively before each bite :)
    Escargot
-Baked French Snails in Pesto, Garlic & Butter.
Snails/escargots are one of those delicacies that people either love, adore or simply do not like. It’s your choice but for me - it’s something that I am ok to leave out in my order when I make a trip to Topshelf next time.

One thing I learnt very repetitively through my journey in life,
Is nobody is going to help you but you yourself.
Be kind to yourself and remove yourself from anything that makes you not you.
Take care and have a good week ahead!

I'm back this week to do an unconventional bumble bee inspired look. My dark bee color will not b the deepest black but a subtle deep khaki blue color that brings out depth in the eyes. And also, the stripes will not b in horizontal context neither it will be repetitively vertical .
This will be a slightly more diversify bee-ish look instead of literally injecting the colors(yellow & black) onto the eyes.

This is a very wearable, good for everyday use as well as casual weekends!
