🇭🇰 Bengal Brothers is the latest grab-no-go venue to open on Wan Chai's Johnston Road, specializing in Indian street food. Here, we sank our teeth into a Kati roll which was a Paratha wrap with a thin crispiness outer, while the lamb roast rendition was especially tender with onions and tomato gravy sauce in an punchy amalgamation of flavors. Meanwhile, we also tasted the chicken tikka rice bowl which felt light on grill but saucy, balanced with cucumber, peanut salad and tangy chutney. This was supported by beverage selections including an Indian ginger ale, as well as the Mango Lassi; the latter here being organic and milder in sweetness than usual. All adorned in a beautiful pink and white space with minimal seating, Bengal Brothers is a fun-filled joint with loud retro beats to match; while the price tag is at a premium for street food, this little hole of brotherly love does bring interesting flavors from Kolkata all the way to the strolls of Wan Chai.
