INGREDIENTS
ravai - 1 & 1/2 cup
oil - 1 1/2 tbsp
ghee. - 1 tsp
kadugu - 1/2 tsp
kadala paruppu - 2 tbsp
zeeragam - 1/2 tsp
ingi - 1/2 tsp rated
pacha milaai - 1 finely chopped
curry leaves - 1 spring chopped
kothamali thazhai - 1 tbsp chopped
eno fruit salt - 1 and 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste.

小妞終於完成需要點小技巧的Upma

🔍什麼是Upma?
Upma是由粗粒小麥粉Suji 或 Rava)為主角然後加上咖哩葉、芥末子和蔬菜製成的一道南印早餐
除南印之外Maharashtra省份也有這道料理
小妞覺得當早午餐非常適合
在印度其他地區還會看見以sooji做成的甜點唷
如小妞最喜歡的Sheera (Marathi語)/Suji ka halwa (Hindi語)
Sheera裏面可以放上香蕉、葡萄乾和腰果
味道很豐富

Soft pillowy idlis are delicious when eaten with hot sambar and green coconut chutney. Make them using this detailed recipe by my_hungry_palate 😍
Soaking time : 6-8 hrs
Fermention: 12-14 hrs
Ingredients:
Urad Dal - ½ Cup
Idli Rava - 1½ Cups
Flatten Rice Flakes - ¼ Cup
Methi seeds - ¼ Tsp
Water - 1 Cup
Method:
Soak the Urad dal, flattened rice flakes and Methi seeds for 6-8 hrs in 2 Cups of water.
In a bowl wash the Idli rava in lukewarm water and keep aside.
Drain the water from the soaked urad dal and methi.
In a grinder/blender, add the urad dal, flattened rice flakes and Methi seeds. Add 1 Cup of water little by little. Grind into a smooth paste.
Add this mixture to the washed idli rava and mix everything well.
Fermentation:
For better fermentation add 1-2 Tsp of Yogurt.
Keep it covered in a warm place for 12-14 hrs.
Preparation:
Add 1-2 Tsp of salt to the batter and mix well.
In a pressure cooker add 3-4 Cups of water and heat on medium flame.
Add a drop of oil or ghee on the idli mould.
Add about 1-2 Tablespoons of fermented batter in the mould. Keep the idli stand in the pressure cooker. Steam for 10-12 mins and close the heat.
Demould the idlis and serve hot with sambar and chutney. Enjoy these fluffy and tasty idlis. #RollingGrace

💚🌱 Sangeetha is a place I love visiting for Indian fixings, its clean & vegetarian in TST East. To me? It's strongest attraction is their better 'Bread' than others 🤤🤤. The Southern Thali Set (HKD $95) unfortunately now became a weekend feature only, they also got rid of the Northern Thali Set altogether. And their cool Falooda drink is also no more 😢
On weekdays they still serve some Tiffin, Uppma or Rava Kichadi for night 🌃. The bread items like Poori, Chappathi or Idly, Poppadoms, even the Dosa are personally amongst the best available to a commoner in HK! Yum & great textures 😍😍😋
Some of their specialty items or Sweets are also available on only certain days of the week, pls check the Larger Menu Book. The separate Paper menu is more for weekday lunch crowds
