Biggest problem with Capitalism? Everything is for sale. So Communist countries like China can waltz in and slowly buy YOUR country. Google it they probably own a good portion of whichever country yours is.

When I’m with you, every day is #bluesky. Thank you @adamhawkshaw for giving me 10 years (one quarter of my life!!!) of blue sky. #handstand not necessary but a bonus.

Of course there have been rainstorms and typhoons. But I remember seeing an internet story with an old couple being interviewed on how they managed to keep their relationship long and healthy. Their answer was: in the old times if our radio was broken, we found a way to fix it and wouldn’t just threw it away. I was looking for someone to fix my radio, and me yours.

@simonsinek also said in his controversial video that when you love someone, it’s not about the great or momentous moments as a couple that you should Instagram or publicise. But it’s when you’re having a great day and you come home to your partner who just had a shitty 💩 day, you don’t go on to brag 🗣 about your day. But instead you allow your partner to share his/her frustrations and complaints. You simply listen. Thank you for being that listener 👂🏼

My parents seemed to have a lot of issues with me being #gay before or meeting my other exes. But with you, they seem to like you even more than me. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

6 Sep 2008 we met in #Houhai in Beijing having 🍕 by the lake as our first date. 10 years today we can still have pizza and not worry about counting calories.

BLOCKADE: This is the environmental frontline! Welcome back to Malaysia #KantaPortraits

REPOST from #GeraiOA UPDATE: After four months of setting up a series of blockades to try and save what's left of their traditional territories, the Temiar of Gua Musang, Kelantan are now on heightened alert.
Several days ago, the private company intent on planting 'Musang King' cloned durians on 400 hectares of traditional territories of Pos Simpor turned up at the Kaleg blockade, on the road to Pos Tohoi and beyond. While they had tried to cajole the Temiar previously, this time they were much more confrontational and worse, used their 4WDs (seen here) to block the road - and did not allow ANY cars to access the villages beyond. We Volunteers were also stranded there on Saturday afternoon (28/7). This is unlike the Kaleg blockade, which only screens vehicles to stop loggers & mega plantation companies while villagers, traders & government officials are free to pass through.
Yesterday (29/7), things escalated again when a "stewong" (timber hauler) was brought in by the Musang King company to block the road again, along with their 4WDs. Unfortunately even a vehicle sent to ferry a patient to the hospital was denied entry - an act which is not only cruel but illegal.

We are also worried about food supplies in the villages beyond the blockade as traders and villagers are not able to drive through the area - except for those on motorcycles.

More Temiar from the interiors have come to the Kaleg blockade in a show of support. Food supplies at the blockade is running low yet they've persevered, they're defending in the dark (with a few donated solar lights). They're even putting up with flash floods from recent rains. The least we Malaysians can do is to help publicise their plight as their fight for a forested nation is one that will benefit all of us in the long run.

    Hindraf emerges from the shadows

THE ISSUE: The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) was relatively unknown until it provided Indian Malaysians the opportunity to vent feelings pent up over 150 years. The grouping is led by lawyers and brothers P Uthayakumar and Waythamoorthy, who have taken up issues that have plagued the grassroots of a downtrodden community.

From alleged police brutality and deaths in custody, they duo have zeroed in on marginalisation and discrimination of Indians. In defence of the right to religion, they have also been calling attention to the demolition of Hindu temples nationwide.

The first sign of Hindrafs growing base of support was when it gathered some 2,000 Indians at Putrajaya to hand over a memorandum detailing the communitys problems. It did not even get the courtesy of a response.

Waythamoorthy then gave the campaign an instantly international image by suing the British government for RM14 trillion - on grounds that colonialists had brought Indians to Malaya as indentured labourers and later failed to factor in their interests when the Federal Constitution was being formulated.

The brothers, along with other Indian lawyers, began a nationwide roadshow to explain the suit and publicise Hindrafs intention to petition the British Queen to support the suit by appointing a Queens Counsel to represent Indian Malaysians.

On Oct 29, about a week before Deepavali, a century-old temple in Kampung Rimba Jaya in Padang Jawa, Selangor, was destroyed as part of a wider operation by the Shah Alam Municipal Council to clear a squatter settlement which included a surau.

This proved to be the proverbial straw - it even produced a rare sighting of MIC president S Samy Vellu, as Hindraf lawyers pitched into the chaos that ensued.

It was a short hop from that incident to the Nov 25 mass rally at Kuala Lumpur, which saw some 30,000 Indians backing a bid by Hindraf leaders to submit a petition to the British High Commission.

The police response was a crackdown on protesters, followed by charges of attempted murder (since dropped), illegal assembly and causing mischief. Five Hindraf leaders have been detained for two years under the Internal Security Act.

The communitys cause has resonated with individuals, civil society groups and political parties, even if some have distanced themselves from certain Hindraf claims.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been pressured into meeting with Indian-based NGOs to hear the communitys long list of grouses.
