Uncle Mok Gao started in the 1950s as a Hainanese chicken & rice ball seller in Kulai. He prowled Kulai's streets with chicken rice in pots on a bamboo pole across his shoulder. 🐔 Business wasn't good, so he switched to selling Hainanese beef noodles and there was no turning back. Business thrived but his stall on the main street was destroyed in a fire in 1963. 🐮 Mok Gao then moved into the village house where he remained till now.
