    Had a lively dialogue yesterday at the Forbes Global CEO Conference. This year’s theme was “Transcending The Turbulence”. Moderator Steve Forbes and I touched on many issues creating turbulence in today’s world: world trade and protectionism, US-China tensions, the Hong Kong protests, climate change, social security, and immigration policy.

    These are familiar issues, but they continue to preoccupy us. Singapore is vulnerable, and not immune to these global forces and trends. In these turbulent times, it is crucial to unite, work together, and keep moving forward.

    Schwan-STABILO has recently introduced a "SCREEN OFF, COLOUR THE WORLD" digital detox campaign aimed at promoting family activities between parents and their children.

    I'd be the first to admit that I'm guilty of allowing these devices to "babysit" or preoccupy the children while I get work and chores done.

    So, i decided that a digital detox was needed -- not just for the girls, but for me too -- so we spent the morning colouring.
