The stars remind us of how tiny we are. But playing beneath them and watching a community of scientists at work through the night reminds me, too, of the search that we all share: to understand our place in the universe. It’s what I believe inspired Bach to write his suites and what has driven astronomers for millennia; it is why we have culture, and why culture connects us.

【007落難嘅玻利維亞沙漠係邊度嚟？】
在《新鐵金剛智破皇家賭場》與《新鐵金剛智破天凶城》兩部「神片」之間，《新鐵金剛之量子殺機》口碑欠佳，似乎只缺少了一些運氣，畢竟這可算是一部超傳統的「邦片」，節奏明快、廢話少講，若與「神作」相比當然差天共地，若與傳統邦片相比又不至於爛片地步。我更喜歡本片與「邦女郎」之間沒有感情戲份（OK，《智破天凶城》都沒與「邦女郎」M有感情戲），兩人均為復仇、共同目標而上路，而最後的重頭戲，就是要決戰試圖控制玻利維亞水源的大反派。
一如之前我在電影場景分享會中所說，許多時候電影都是騙人的，本片一如《智破皇家賭場》根本沒有在黑山共和國取景，背景為玻利維亞，於鄰國智利的Atacama Desert取景。
原來智利與玻利維亞關係一般，電影於智利取景卻抹黑智利，曾一度引起反對聲音，但最終鏡頭下的Atacama Desert卻予人留下深刻印象，男女主角「落難」沙漠的畫面更成了電影海報。
實地來到Atacama Desert，不難想到何以創作人有此念頭，沙漠部份地區幾年沒有降雨，是全球最乾罕的沙漠。在這裡水極為珍貴，住宿地方紛紛都叫人節約用水。不過，沙漠中處處奇景，荒蕪中又帶幾分美感，尤其是其中的數個鹽湖，簡直可說是蔚為奇觀，日落一刻景觀之美，是我看過最美的，沒有之一。
至於重頭戲「爆到七彩」的大戰，則是位於較遠處的Paranal Residencia，那是一座為天文人員考察觀星所用之酒店，本想參觀（沙漠中有這麼一座「007反派基地」而非CG所為），但似乎不對遊客開放。
下一站玻利維亞，不難猜到是哪部電影的取景地吧。
