The whole deal about love // I thought I'd say this in light of the Orlando shootings
.
I've been taught many things in my life. Via society, education and religion. But I've never learned to ostracise people because of differences... or to play judge, jury and executioner no matter how convicted I might feel about an issue.
.
Other than what justice and laws proclaim, I don't believe there is any call to judge others based on what I, personally think is right or wrong. To judge individuals based on my own lifestyle, beliefs and choices. There is no lesson or rule that says that. That is a personal bias and selfish belief.
.
The rule is to love. And love is selfless. Love is kind. Love keeps no record of wrongs.
.
Be it in faith or moralities, I've been taught to love my neighbour as myself. To treat people the way I want to be treated. To respect people's lives and their decisions. That is my belief. That is my love.
.
So love, people. Love everyone. Heck, you don't have to believe and accept what they choose or believe or decide. Nobody said you need to. But you love them because they're just another human being like you making their way through life. And you make that way a pleasant one.
