It happens often that, after work when I climb the stairs going home, I find myself thinking “Am I doing the right thing? Am I at the right location? Is this the real path of my destiny?

And while I am trying to find answers to those three questions, new questions start to come to my mind... Are we really able to define what is our life purpose? How can we define it? Does it only have to do with our inner self?...
Myself today is different than the one from yesterday, we are in constant evolution. My needs eventually change, my knowledges evolves and my perceptions of life are not the same anymore; so am I looking for the same purpose?

I feel our existence is so complex yet so beautiful and while I am still looking for answers, this is what guide me along the way. I put lot of importance in self understanding, I push my personal growth through real friendship, I try to orientate my career towards my passions and I keep a life philosophy as close as possible to my core values.

In the second half of 2019, the NMBA will also transition to an outcomes-based assessment (OBA) for IQNMs who hold relevant but not substantially equivalent qualifications (and who meet the mandatory registration standards), replacing the current need for bridging programs for these applicants.

The NMBA undertook an extensive research project to explore the factors and requirements to establish an OBA which made recommendations that:

1.the overall assessment process includes both a cognitive and behavioural component

2.the cognitive assessment must be passed before the behavioural component is attempted, and

3.an orientation program is established to orientate nurses and midwives to working in the Australian healthcare context. (Based on this recommendation, the NMBA will establish an orientation program for all IQNMs applying for registration in Australia.)

目前我覺得可以highlight的重點是:

The behavioural assessment will be in the form of an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE). The OSCE has been developed to assess the behavioural skills of an IQNM that reflect the knowledge and skills of an entry level Australian nurse or midwife.

The cognitive assessment will be a computer-based multiple choice questionnaire.
