2020-06-19 20:38:23HELLO YOUTUBE FRIENDS! if you are observant enough, you'll realise my hair was a lot shorter and I look a bit different (but not really). We filmed this video back in January and I only gotten to edit it lately. I thought it was a really silly video, but I just hope to bring some joy in you guys life right now. The Sinking City is an open-world detective game with a third-person camera perspective. It features an open investigation system in which the outcome of the player's quests will often be defined by how observant the players are when investigating different clues and pieces of evidence.
Charles W. Reed, a U.S. Navy sailor and Great War veteran turned private investigator, travels from Boston to Oakmont at the invitation of intellectual Johannes van der Berg to discover the cause of the nightmarish visions that have been plaguing him for years, visions which are shared by numerous other people and most commonly occur in Oakmont. Reed is hired by Robert Throgmorton, the influential and physically striking head of one of Oakmont's leading families who has also been studying the visions, to help uncover the cause of the Flood plaguing the town. While Reed pursues this investigation and others using extrasensory powers of observation seemingly bestowed by his visions, uncovering the shadowy history and seedy underbelly of Oakmont along the way, he must guard his sanity as it is eroded by the town's darkness, otherworldly creatures attracted to death called Wylebeasts, and the use of his own powers.
The town of Oakmont is made up of seven districts (Advent, Coverside, Grimhaven Bay, Oldgrove, Reed Heights, Salvation Harbor, and The Shells) which have all been affected by flooding to various degrees, and the player must use a boat to safely traverse the flooded streets to reach drier areas. The player can swim if necessary, but the water is infested and can fatally damage the player's health and sanity. The player also assembles an arsenal of tools and weapons, and at times must use them to kill otherworldly creatures and dispel hallucinations. However, as Oakmont is an isolated place with dwindling resources and deteriorating social order, bullets have replaced money as the preferred currency; expending too many bullets can leave the player unable to barter for desired items. Another major resource is sanity, which is spent on investigative powers used to reconstruct crime scenes and identify clues. Sanity slowly regenerates on its own, but can be replenished faster with antipsychotic drugs. Disturbing scenes and encounters can cause sudden, sharp drops in sanity, affecting the player's perception of the surrounding environment, and complete loss of sanity is fatal.![post-title]()

In the beginning, there is a craving for magic formulas to remedy your pain. Unable to heal herself, she casts the healer out. It is natural that for a long time the eyes are still turned outwards and any attempt to define yourself starts from a comparison with something external to you. It's tiring to live belittling yourself all the time, isn't it?

The essence of Yoga is the attentive, observant and receptive look for everything that emerges in sensations, thoughts, emotions and movements, and it is the constant exercise of this gaze that strengthens in itself, before any intimate transformation, a process of rediscovering oneself. What am, am, feel or think all the time and I don't notice? Realizing that there is a vast world of “new” information to be appreciated is a beautifully grandiose thing for a person.

This attitude of openness to self-observation is, in itself, a way of welcoming and practicing self-acceptance. The honest quest to see what was previously invisible to your conscious eyes is also a permission you give yourself to be yourself. Every meaningful transformation and transmutation of life is preceded by an acceptance of who you are now.

Your ups and downs, joys and sorrows, qualities and defects, virtues and shadows, truths and omissions, are the scribbles of your story, ink on the sheet forming the paragraphs of your life and each letter or comma make up something of rich meaning for those you is today. Self-acceptance is not about being passive about your issues, but about not reacting in a denial or reactive way with yourself, and then evolving from what is seen.

16 Apr 2021 - The first time I went to dabao dinner for the family. Awwwww.
The big girl was planning to take the bus on her own for the first time and meet us at the mall after her oral exams today. However, our plans changed at the last minute and we decided to stay home instead.
She was a tad disappointed and told me that despite her initial fear, she was actually looking forward to travelling by herself. I was happy and relieved to hear that, and wished I could let her do something since she was feeling enthusiastic. So I said "How about you walk to the food court yourself and buy back dinner since the rest are still sleeping?"
There was a twinkle in her eyes and she immediately sprang into action as she took a pen and paper to take my orders. I told her to buy 2 packets of 白鸡饭, 1 packet of 烧鸡尾饭, 1 油菜, 4 卤蛋, 2 slices of watermelon and 2 slices of rock melon. She took her bag, wallet, keys, card, mask and happily skipped out of the house after telling her sister who was still lying in bed "I'm going to buy dinner!"
I wasn't worried about her because I knew this girl is cautious, observant and responsible. Indeed, she came back promptly with all our orders within half an hour. Woohoo! Mission accomplished!
It was a milestone for her and I think she is definitely ready to travel by the train or bus on her own already. For me, it's a reminder that the time has come to let go even more, knowing that I've taught her and trained her well enough to be independent.
I said to her "Next time we don't need to order food delivery liao, you can just go out and buy for us." To which she smiled and said "Okay!" I think this gives her a sense of achievement just as it gives me a sense of pride. It also makes her feel confident, brave and happy, knowing that she did something for the family. So kudos to ya, dear Angel! I am proud of you! ❤
P.S. She is wearing my shirt here and it makes me feel emotional seeing it. I passed her some of mine because she has outgrown hers recently. Yup, growth spurt, she also eats more than me already and can soon share my shoes too. Awww. Kids grow up really fast, don't they?
