*** ปาเกียวลงชิงเก้าอี้ ปธน. ฟิลิปปินส์ปีหน้า ***

เมื่อวันที่ 19 ก.ย. ที่ผ่านมา แมนนี ปาเกียว ประกาศลงสมัครรับเลือกตั้งประธานาธิบดีฟิลิปปินส์ในปี 2022 ในนามพรรคเดียวกับ รอดรีโก ดูเตอร์เต ประธานาธิบดีคนปัจจุบัน ซึ่งไม่มีสิทธิ์ในการลงสมัครเลือกตั้งประธานาธิบดีสมัยที่ 3 ตามรัฐธรรมนูญ และกลุ่มของเขาอาจส่งลูกสาวลงชิงชัยแทน

แมนนี ปาเกียววัย 42 ปี สมาชิกวุฒิสภาจากพรรคประชาธิปไตยประชาชนฟิลิปปินส์ (PDP–Laban) ซึ่งเป็นพรรครัฐบาลพรรคเดียวกับดูเตอร์เต และอดีตแชมป์มวยอาชีพโลกหลายสมัยจากหลายรุ่นน้ำหนัก ยอมรับการเสนอชื่อของพันธมิตรทางการเมือง พร้อมหาเสียงโดยปราศรัยโจมตีการคอร์รัปชันในรัฐบาลและความสัมพันธ์ของดูเตอร์เตกับจีน

“ผมเป็นนักสู้ และผมจะเป็นนักสู้ตลอดไปทั้งในและนอกสังเวียน ... เราต้องการรัฐบาลที่รับใช้ประชาชนของเราด้วยความซื่อสัตย์, เมตตาธรรมและโปร่งใส” เขากล่าว

ชื่อเสียงของปาเกียวน่าจะช่วยเขาเพิ่มโอกาสชนะของเขาในประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ซึ่งขึ้นชื่อเรื่องการเลือกตั้งคนมีชื่อเสียง แม้ว่าก่อนหน้านี้ผู้สนับสนุนเขาจะลดลงเพราะเขาไปเรียกเกย์ว่า “ต่ำยิ่งกว่าสัตว์” และเขาสนับสนุนนโยบายสงครามปราบยาเสพติดของดูเตอร์เต ซึ่งเมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้วมีข่าวว่าศาลอาญาระหว่างประเทศเปิดการสอบสวนในข้อกล่าวหาอาชญากรรมต่อมนุษยชาติจากสงครามปราบยาเสพติดของดูเตอร์เต ซึ่งมีการวิสามัญฆาตกรรมอาจถึงหลักหมื่นคน

โกปฏิเสธการเสนอชื่อ ทำให้มีการคาดว่าลูกสาวของดูเตอร์เต คือ ซารา ดูเตอร์เต-คาร์ปิโอ น่าจะได้รับการเสนอชื่อแทน นี่แสดงให้เห็นความขัดแย้งในพรรครัฐบาล ระหว่างกลุ่มผู้สนับสนุนปาเกียวกับดูเตอร์เต

เมื่อเดือน ก.ค. ที่ผ่านมา ที่ประชุมพรรค PDP–Laban ลงมติขับปาเกียวออกจากตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพรรค หลังโจมตีดูเตอร์เตในเรื่องคอร์รัปชันและความสัมพันธ์กับจีน แต่สมาชิกบางส่วนที่เป็นพันธมิตรเขาไม่ยอมรับ ทำให้ตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพรรคตัวจริงยังคาราคาซังอยู่

อย่างไรก็ตาม โอกาสชนะของปาเกียวก็ไม่ได้สูงขนาดนั้น แม้ตัวปาเกียวจะมีชื่อเสียงและความนิยมมาก แต่โพลยังตามหลังลูกสาวของดูเตอร์เตอยู่เรื่อยๆ

Bringing a breath of fresh air to the Japanese Ukulele scene, Ryo Natoyama not only is an amazing Ukulele player but he also handcrafts all of his Ukuleles.  Born in 1993, he started playing the Ukulele after his family bought him one when they went to Hawaii during his 6th grade summer vacation. By the time he was in middle school, he crafted his own Ukulele. When he was 14, he became an opening act for Bruce Shimabukuro, Jody Kamisato, and other Hawaiian artists and appeared on television broadcasts. He also appeared on Jake Shimabukuro’s Japan Tour and in 2015, he released his 4th album called, “UKULELE SPLASH” and also a Christmas album called, “UKULELE Merry Christmas!”. Both albums were nominated for the 39th Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (Hawaii’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards) and he became the youngest Japanese artist to win with “UKULELE SPLASH”. He made his major label debut with “Made in Japan, To the World.” In July 2016. He has continued to be active in the music scene and has also performed in The United States, England, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Canada.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
In an idealized New York City during the early '60s, Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) is a charming socialite with a youthful zest for life who lives alone in a nearly bare apartment. She has such a flippant lifestyle that she won't even give her cat a name, because that would be too much of a commitment to a relationship. Maintaining a childlike innocence yet wearing the most perfect of designer clothes and accessories from Givenchy, she spends her time on expensive dates and at high-class parties. She escorts various wealthy men, yet fails to return their affections after they have given her gifts and money. Holly's carefree independence is changed when she meets her neighbor, aspiring writer Paul (George Peppard), who is suffering from writer's block while being kept by a wealthy woman (Patricia Neal). Just when Holly and Paul are developing their sweet romance, Doc (Buddy Ebsen) appears on the scene and complicates matters, revealing the truth about Holly's past. Breakfast at Tiffany's was nominated for several Academy awards, winning Best Score for Henry Mancini and Best Song for Johnny Mercer's classic tune "Moon River".
